My best breathing advice is this: Breath naturally, allowing your breath to find a depth that promotes relaxation as you move. If your breath finds a rhythm, say inhale as you circle back, exhale as you circle forward, let it.
Thank you. I am appreciating this practice. But I do not understand why there are 7 movements. If we look at the possibilities: Arms only Arms + waist Arms+ fwd/back Arms+waist+fwd/back x horizontal vertical coronal = 12 So it seems there are 12 possible movements. Perhaps this is too much? And so it is limited to 7 ?
It’s just that you can’t really do “arms only” or “arms & weight shift” without the waist turning, for horizontal or coronal circles. And you can’t do “arms & waist only” without the weight shift for the vertical circle. Sure, someone might could say “Yuh-huh! Watch!” But it just wouldn’t be profitable, but unhelpful instead to actually include them in the set.
Yes, Circles with movements not exceeding 70% of ther stretch! That´s what I need for my old bones!!. All the best. Paul,69, retired teacher
How to harmonize breathing with movement?
