AlaskEx2024 Valdez Full-scale Exercise

The City of Valdez, and several local, state, and federal stakeholders in the area, conducted a full-scale earthquake/tsunami exercise in May of 2024. This six-minute video represents a culmination of the individual and joint capabilities tested. The exercise scenario highlighted the importance of gaining a better understanding of slope instability and exercise conduct was centered around the Incident Command System process, emergency operations center functions, sheltering, and continuity of operations.
