When I first played this game I was unaware that these Metroids were supposed to be evolving and I just assumed they fed off of something and caused a mutation similar to what happens to poison dart frogs with their toxins. Always assumed they fed off of some bioelectrical creatures that caused them to glow and gave their electrical attacks a boost and so I always called them “Charged Metroids.” Unaware that this happens to both Zeta and Omega Metroids later in the game. But they look bioelectrical to me and not that they’re just getting ready to molt. Though, I should have already caught on since you do encounter these things close to the next stage in the Metroid’s growth. But yeah. That’s just my funny little story with Samus Returns.
I was wondering why this sounded familiar when I fought these Metroids, and just now I realized it's reminding me of a boss theme from Phantasy Star Zero. Hm.
I love that the evolved Alphas have their own theme apart from the normal Alphas. I guess I could call them Beta Metroids.
That's what I call them.
0 People died to Alpha Metroids.
Heh, even I know that's a lie.
NGL I died at least once for each Metroid phases. Game's harder than I thought. Watching videos on UA-cam aint the same as feeling it.
After receiving the enhanced jump, they lost all difficulty

At 0:24, I feel like it's a remix of the Space Pirates theme from the Prime series.
