- What's up family! In today's video, I take the 2v out for its first pulls now that it got tuned and is making 522rwhp! I've truly never felt a car pull like this and you can tell by my face! Your new edge is hella 🔥 im freaking surprised that your 2v makes 500hp. Usually supercharged 2v makes 390hp give or take. Even with ported heads you still make Hella more hp. Heard the bottom end go out at 450hp to the crank. Take care of her man. Im a mustang enthusiasts and I've never seen a supercharged 2v make that power, unless build. Ride safe man.

2vs are known to be safe at 450 wheel max (supercharged, a little more turbod) any more and its sketch
Badass. I have a p1sc procharger on my 04. Stage one roush kit with the side exit exhaust. Headers, stage 2 comp cams, trick flow heat pack intake. Right now it’s got a big 4 inch pulley good for 6lbs going to go down eventually and going to take it to the dyno. Previous owner blew it up so I’m nervous to beat on it but it’s so much fun

I have a cammed 2 valve with a kenne bell 2.1 and I agree that’s plenty for a weekend non track car. I have same problem, can’t lean on it In first at all and I have traction problems in second as well. Fun as hell though

I love it man. Congrats! Gets me so pumped up to get mine running. I bought a 00' gt with a vortech v3 on it, supposedly all set up/tuned and made 440 wheel before the engine blew after 2 years. Bought it with blown engine for 3k, howd I do?

Yeah great deal! Blew mine up a while back found a motor in a junk yard for 600$ and swapped her in!

Hey bro another question for you haha do you have a link for where you got your vortech kit at? I usually go through American Muscle and they have like 10 different kits that say the same thing ranging from $3700 to $6000, I can’t tell the difference between them
I bought my kit used for 2700$. That usually the way to go. Vortech doesn’t make a intercooled kit like the one I have. U would have to buy there basic one then but all the intercooler stuff from another company like cxracing
How many lbs of boost are you running and how long you think the stock internals are going g to hold?
Just shy of 9lbs. And I have no idea hopefully long enough lol 😂
How has it been holding up? I just bought a showroom condition 2000 gt and had it tuned at flem flam. I made 409 whp, If yours is 500 hp then it prob feels very fast. How long have you been boosted?
She’s been holding up good! Only have been boosted for about a month now!
You recommend building the internals first or once I get my bolt on go ahead and supercharge then focus on internals.
I mean depending on ur power goals it depends. U don’t need internals if ur staying around 450 but if ur going over that I would build internals before
Sounds and runs like my car. My car was at 525hp so yours may not be far off. Mine has a spike of power on the top end. We got pretty much same parts blower, heads, cams stock bottom end. If you don’t hit redline daily with it your probably fine. Lamotto performance did the supercharger and tune 7-8 years ago and 65k miles.
I forgot to add. Be carful slamming it into second and sometimes 3rd. Mine likes to go sideways. Also running 373 gears on nitto nt555 g2
Awesome to hear! I won’t keep driving this hard because I know it’s a time bomb but yeah I try to be careful shifting because this is still a stock trans as well!

You just have to run a vacuum line through the firewall
I did buddy but, my car ATS weird and some time smokes. I try a couple of hoses from my intake and it won’t work right.

The torque number is more important than hp numbers. According to brenspeed the regularly tune 2 valves to over 500hp on stock internals as long as they stay at or below 450 on torque.

Great review the thing ripps for sure. I have a question did you do a dyno to see what the hp is? 500 is very sketchy as these things can only handle no more than 400 to 430 max without rods starting to be a time ticker. Is it still holding up?
It’s not 500 to the wheels the dyno was not calibrated correctly. I’d say it’s 400-430 wut the wheels

I’m looking to get a 97-99 cobra, what mods should put into it for hp without having to build the engine too much?
When it comes to these cars the best bang for buck is just finding a used supercharger kit. Found an entire kit for 2700 and it put me up 200hp. I would start off with gears like 373 or 410 because for the money you will feel a different with those! Hope that helps!

Honestly I wouldn’t waste time with bolt ons or cams because for the money they don’t do anything. I would try to find a used supercharger kit like I did and that’s the best bang for buck!
As far as reliability, if we find a kit would you for sure recommend injectors, and a throttle body, fuel pump etc. to avoid any power issues on a stock motor and bottom end
@@kylehalstead865 throttle body isn’t a must but definitely going to need bigger fuel pump and injectors to supply the need for more fuel!

I just know you’re from south jersey lmao. Me too but I have a 96 GT and I was planning on coyote swapping but I’d figure I’d just work with what I have. I’m looking into doing a torktech kit and getting a 03/04 cobra blower, possibly building the 2v if needed. What do you think?
When I was planning on doing boost I was looking into the tork tech kit but I couldn’t wrap my head around spending 2500$ on something and not even getting the blower. I stayed patient and got this entire kit for 2700$

Welcome! And I’m sure it will rip with a supercharger on. The 410s might be a tad too much u will find yourself shifting very often. But will for sure put u into the seat!

I got a 2003 Roush stage 2 and I am trying to find out what mods Roush did to it. It is crazy fast and handles well. I want to put it on a Dino so I can figure it out. Car sound good.

@@prestonsarlo Its completely stock but I start driving CDL for UPS next month and its gonna get some serious attention. 5.3L big Bore boss block 13.5:1 Fully ported 195cc TFS heads, BME aluminum rods and pistons. E-85. CMS stage 3.5 cams.

Mine is 400 and I had to buy a Raptor Shift Light (set at 6200) so I wouldn't hit the Rev limiter!

Hey man, did you have to do any heavy modifications to fit the vortech in there? I was told I might have some issues and have to do fab work with my bbk longtube headers then I was told it’ll fit fine haha great video btw, was debating on the vortech but this makes me want it for sure haha
Nope no modifications were needed! I made a full installment video a couple weeks ago that will show u everything u need to do!

When it was at 270 you couldn’t get it to 100 mph? Sounds like you had a misfire or something mine doesnt even make 270 and its running lean and ive still gotten it over 110
It would get to 100 I just meant it took a lot of effort. It was trapping 96 in the 1/4 mile
