I got an early key for this new 16 bit-style game. Vengeful Guardian: Moonrider is the new game from the creators of Blazing Chrome, another retro game that I played on my channel.

Loved the dystopian 80's/90' cyberpunk anime theme, feeling like Guyver or even Genocyber
Anyone else getting major "what if Megaman Zero but cyberpunk dystopia" vibes from this?
Nah, this is more along the lines of Megaman x Contra vibes imo.
I mean, Megaman Zero already *is* in a dystopia, just missing the cyberpunk
No part of this feels anything like cyberpunk. The brain boss shot rings which is pretty much mother brain from super metroid.

Excellent job with Sunseeker. Those kicks were hella annoying to deal with. All these bosses were a blast to play against. None of them felt unfair
Is Sunseeker kicks are very fast and hard to predicteble

I love how the elements are used in this. There's fire, water, air, earth, light, darkness, and sun for the Guardians, and Shinjen is lightning. The only element that's missing is ice/cold.

Is there any significance to the creature in the background during the Darkchaser fight? It looks like it could be an intimidating boss itself, but it just sits there.
This is what I call a true retro based style. Go full mode 7 with granulated graphics and sound with lots of noise. It is amusing and nostalgic of a perfect age now gone in gaming.

Kamen rider black is way more similar compared to Dragon knight, the whole revolting creature of justice more resembles the classic rider formula rather than dragon knight’s battle royale formula

This MC is one of the most relatable. Not a single clue what he's doing here, why he's a robot guy with a lightsaber, or how this all happened.
Looked awesome. Not sure whether the dialogue was intentionally bad for a retro feel.

This is Megaman Zero but with Kamen RIder-like design and deep plot. Moonrider Vs Sunseeker remind me to KR Black Sun Vs Shadowmoon duel withe the great ending.

While I don’t think it’s a homage to black sun since that came out only a while ago, I do think it’s a nod to Kamen rider Black the original, the whole Sun vs Moon thing with Moon rider even having a rider kick attack makes it kinda obvious
@goggles789 I like the story, it’s the classic Kamen rider story mixed in with South American politics which fit well, and it’s interesting seeing a cyberpunk dystopia mixed in with just a straight up hero. No unnecessary twists, just a straight up nice dude that wants to help in a genre where those types get eaten by the dozen and actually succeeding.
Also nothing wrong with the gameplay being simple too.

I don't agree with your opinion about game plot, if it's written by 15 year old that's mean this game suitable for kids and tennager and this game plot/story are kinda deep.
About gameplay, it's still fun to play and very challenging for Speedrunner.

This game got bosses and enemies inspired from other classic games. Super metroid, megaman x, contra etc. They got great pixel arts as well

Does it take you this long to no hit all the bosses or is there just no games you feel like playing? I'm asking bc you rarely upload. I like watching your videos bc you play the exact games I like to play and I've found a lot of games I've never heard of on this channel. It's also fun watching you destroy games I get destroyed in.
It usually doesn't take me too long to beat all bosses (unless it's a very long or/and hard game). I just have been feeling kind of uninspired lately. But i'm trying to fix it.
