    The state or local people should start a gofund me or some kind of volunteering project to finish this. This is a very important project not just for Indiana but possibly for the U.S.A. as a whole!

      It would be a huge thing for Indiana tourism. But just like Indiana won’t buy a new boat for Metamora, it won’t happen for this project. It would be great if someone with money saw this, and made it reality.

    • @Bigfoughty
      @Bigfoughty 6 місяців тому +9

      @@AdventureswithRoger Yeah Metamora needs a new boat for sure. I try to describe Canal Days to my siblings who haven't yet experienced it and it's just too hard to put into words that are deserving bc it is one of the many great festivals in Indiana that need and deserve national attention. Thank you for the wonderful video.

    Like others I had no idea. So the national government approved the funding then state government canceled it? Or was it all national? Seriously that would of been a game changer. It’s just something people would want to see especially this day in age with so much interest in stuff like this. Fascinating! Roger I finally made my trip and recorded the content for my first cache hunt in Indiana. Lebanon. I have found so many in Indiana lost to history and not a trace online after the last two years of research that I won’t have to go out of state for a couple seasons at least.

    Have ever heard the story of when the nights templer under persecution to be all executed fled with many valuables and supposedly the arch of the covenant . And left by ship and may have came to the north American continent. Thier has some signs and artifacts found in several states including near hover dam in the grand canyon that supports the story ?? Real interesting. I watched a video ( not able to find any longer) that shows when the hover dam was built they included hydrographics from Egyptians in and around the dam. Also when Obama was in office they had some unusual activity with projections being put up at night onto the dam of Egyptian's symbols,.

    • @AdventureswithRoger

      Several legends about the templars, and where they went. Linking to north American artifacts and places has been difficult to prove, with most being attributed to Viking explorers.

    The death blow to the project was Senator William Proxmire awarding the project his "Golden Fleece Award" which was reserved for what he considered the most wsstefull goverment funded projects. The Diehl family in Needmore (the town just north of the site) built a scale model of the pyramid in their front yard. It was very well done, & if memory serves, was lit at night. Sadly, it no longer exists. Good episode!

    • @AdventureswithRoger
