Nice. I was looking at Pack Creek Bears and stumbled on this and said…. “Hey! That’s Marissa!” I stayed in the Forest Service Cabin for a couple of nights many years ago. Eric Yancey took us there. Great place! Thanks.
@@MarissaCollison Yeah seen a brown bear resting beside the outhouse toilet and a tourist had to stay inside the outhouse until the brown bear finally wandered off into the trees! Us on the viewing platform we’re cracking up!🤣😉😂
Good Question!! We actually missed the hottest weekend when both brown and black bears were really active!! Early August would be best time. The salmon run was beginning to slow down and the heavy rains made it hard for the bear to catch what salmon came up stream. Perhaps I'll get to go again, definitely before late August this time.
We get black bear passing through from time to time and occasionally cars hit them. I live north west of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. I helped a taxidermist pick one up to put in his truck one time that a car hit. They’re obviously heavy and I remember its wrist bone was like holding the large end of a baseball bat. The biggest one I’ve ever seen was crossing through my brother’s land one night. I’d say it was around 500 pounds. They are so black that when your headlights shine on them, it’s like they don’t reflect light at all. It’s like a black hole in the road. Regarding worms, I’ve never had sushi. I’ve heard comments by others that you could pick up parasites from sushi. No thanks. Let the bears deal with that.
That was a very beautiful and nice video.Enjoyed it very much
Thank you so much! Thanks for checking out my channel.

Bears can get pretty big for sure!! No joke on their strength, speed and agility. I love sushi!! But haven't had any with salmon, just ahi.
So glad I live in Alaska, simple!😳😉👍
