Great interview but Wouldnt be better to translate in the subtitle?
I don't agree with Mr Journe. (but I do respect him!) Why is someone suspicious when he/ she tries to contact several stores? The are just trying to buy a watch and the hope to have more chance to obtain one. Also: he is giving existing customers priority to complete their collection. I don't think this is correct. (But I do understand) Even I inquired about a watch and then they said they would rather sell each customer a watch so they can enjoy their masterpiece. It is then hard to accept that sometimes we have to wait years for a masterpiece while others get it thrown in their lap. Now we are expected to go in person to a boutique to justify why we would like to buy one. For me, this is 800 miles.... Too bad certain people who can't do this won't be able to buy their dream watch because of this. And if there are profiteers, there will always be those who slip through the net...

Didn’t know Wei spoke French unlike some people who pretend to speak or know French by pronouncing certain French words correctly Wei Koh is one of them gems who is genuine and passionate about horology

Je suis un peu deçu. On parle bcp de la valeur des montres et des prix qu'elle vont obtenir avec le temps. J'aurai plus aimer voir des conversations sur le mouvement, l'historique et la complexite de faire une de ses montres.

Instead of corrupting the flow why not simply add subtitles, thankfully my schoolboy Frenchman keep up with the conversation but others it might be really helpful

His boutiques are not meeting that goal, as I know someone who has never sold a watch and has only ever parted with a watch by giving it to someone who loves it more than he does as a gift, and that person was simply told he can't buy the one he wants without buying ones he doesn't want first.

Yes, this appears to be the consensus. PD does great finishing but FPJ is more the inventor. A bit like Ingres v da Vinci.

Audemars Piguet, is a above and beyond extreme watchmaking than FP Journe will ever be! His dials and cases are so Hideous and in modern, aesthetics revolve around in conception than conception! Overpriced Ugly watches!😂

FP Journe is excellent, but he is not the greatest watchmaker! Far from it!
