RMT Rope exercises using the “Dragon Roll" Technique improves rotation on a foundational level. Get your RMT Rope here: shop.weckmetho...
The Dragon Roll Technique uses your hands, shoulders, core, hips, and feet simultaneously to improve global rotation, balance, coordination, timing, and athleticism. These videos will walk you through the Dragon Roll technique and how to incorporate it into your fitness routine.
Used by top-level trainers and professional athletes alike, the RMT® Rope is a key training tool that helps integrate your entire body and enhance communication between your large and small muscle groups, tendons, and connective tissue. The RMT® Rope develops mobility, coordination, core strength, and rotational power on both sides of your body.
Each RMT® Rope is made with a durable braided rope (1 lb.) that offers a flexible bend for performing dynamic movements and a customized grip to help build articulation, coordination, flexibility, and strength in your hands and forearms. RMT® Ropes come with easily accessible exercise videos free, on WeckMethod's website.
Performing continuous movement patterns using the RMT® Rope allows both sides of the body to work together - using the dominant side of the body to educate and build mobility, timing, coordination, and strength on the non-dominant side of the body. This is also known as Non-Dominant Side Training™. The RMT® Rope also utilizes the principles of Rotational Movement Training™ by employing three-dimensional circular movement patterns that focus on the rotational movements of your body through the use of your shoulders, hips, pelvis, and legs, developing muscular integration while building coordination, agility, and balance.

I felt useless and helpless watching other videos. This is clearest, easiest and simply the best dragon roll tutorial bar none. Got it right away after a few minutes watching. Thank you so much for the great work David!! ❤️🙏

Ive been doing this shit since i was 17 years old with glow sticks on strings. Didnt even know this rope flow existed. This will be so seamless for me to get into. I can do every single move already and i dont even own a rope yet. Just bought one though!

Thank you, David. Was struggling to figure this one out, but the cue of crossing the midline of the body on the downswings is what helped me get it to the point where I can do it for reps.

Tremendous exercise. My latest drill is 6 straight minutes of the "dragon roll", changing rope direction every 60 seconds, while jogging/running in place. It took quite a while to get up to that level of endurance. I keep the rope moving during the direction change. David has seen that; I'm hoping he'll cut a tutorial on that inside-out dragon-transition sometime soon. He's a busy man. 😀
I do this drill twice a day. It is taxing, but it leaves my back muscles and posture in great shape. Yesterday, I shoveled a truckload of gravel and had no injury or pain.
I recommend getting the entire RMT video/DVD from Amazon, and getting one of the good 1/2" cloth ropes from Weck. Lightweight beaded ropes are good for variety, but you'll end up doing the bulk of your work with the cloth rope.

I finally got the hang of the Dragon Roll today. It would hit my feet and butt when the rope went behind, but I started concentrating on keeping my chest open during that part and it did the trick. I love this drill and I'm mixing it with the Matador Wheel and Race And Chase. I can't wait to learn another pattern tomorrow!

    • @JetMags
      @JetMags 2 роки тому +1

keeping the chest IS key to this move, plus it must help to have a higher ceiling than the one I keep hitting

How to maximize your old, broken and useless jump ropes? -- convert them to be useful in ROPE FLOW.
Three (3) rope flow trainings that you can practice:
    1. The Race and Chase
    2. Matador's Wheel
    3. The Sneak
    4. Dragon Roll
Thanks to you, David Weck 🤘🤘🤘
Learn. Train. Practice. And have fun! 💖🥂

My coach Eliot Shum @LiftRunThrow here in Seattle turned me onto your dragon roll. I like it! And the start breaking it down to 3 is capacity. Really enjoying the under overs as I swim on a masters swim team and soe of the rope moves are like strokes. Practicing to get in the same zone as effortless swimming.

What do you say, is this move ok to do with arm injury from lifting? I am not using the heaviest of ropes but my arm is sore after I do this repeatedly. Should I avoid this move or the move actually will help with restoration after injury? Last time I had this injury the dr gave me exercises to do and it went back to normal. But I don't know if this is the right exercise for it. Thank you David.
