Here after reading the book "Will it Make the Boat Go Faster?" by Ben Hunt-Davies, one of the Team GB guys. Mind-blowing how much work and discipline went into those 5 minutes. Great book - really recommended. I don't usually go for self-help books but this one was no-nonsense brilliant.

Poorly judged by the Australians - gave over a length at 500 gone. You simply cannot get that far back and disconnected in a final let along an Olympic final.

Literally milli seconds deciding who wins what... Years of work distilling to those milli seconds... And that's where perhaps the one question britsh rowers asked during all those preparation years made a difference - "Will It make the boat go faster"
