I have a spectra s1 at home the blue charging one and i adore the freestyle flex. It's very similar with vibration like the spectra. I found its the best portable if you're used to the spectra ❤
Hi Allison does this pump have a vibrating suction??? I don't like vibrating suctions, just dont stimulate well with vibration. Do you know pumps without vibrating suctions??..The only pump I know that doesnt vibrate is the Medela pump in style (old version) and the symphony Hospital version.
Does anyone happen to know if you can use the flange/bottle set up from the flex with the original freestyle? I always had to squeeze the plastic connectors (the part that holds the membrane) while pumping to keep the suction. I am having a hard time finding genuine parts for the original freestyle. TIA!
Hi Alison, I have searching for comparison of spectra S1 and medela freestyle flex. There is no video comparison on both. Could you tell which is more quiet?
Pregnant with my second and looking into a new pump that is hands free without the cost of the Elvie. Could you try out the Freemie cups with this and put that in your review?
How would you say this compares to the Motif Duo? My wall pump is the Medela PISA and I'm happy with it but need something for on the go as well. I got the Motif Duo and don't respond to it at all. Would you recommend this one more or maybe the Medela Swing Maxi?
It just became available in the US so I’ve ordered one! It’s called something different but looks to be the same as the spectra dual S. Where are you from? Are they available in your area?
@@NewLittleLife I'm from malaysia. They do available here, I'm thinking of getting one but need to watch more review since its a new pump 😂 In US I believe it's called Spectra Synergy Gold Dual Powered Electric Breast Pump
They’re just different. The Luna/spectra are excellent all around pumps. Last a long time and work great for almost everyone. This Medela flex is a great portable pump. Doesn’t have the same kind of strength ans consistency, but still one of my favorite portable pumps. So if you need something on the go, this one is great.
Well, even though the video I can hear it still loud, I was hoping Medela will solve with the new model the noise and vibration, it's making pumping really annoying. Indeed it's powerful pump, But for me it's not doing the work really well.
@@NewLittleLife hahaha no problem - thanks Allison for all you do!! I am considering getting this one through my insurance, it’s an up charge so I’m wondering if 1. You think it’s worth it for a first time mom who works full time to pay the extra money for the mobility/portability. 2. You think it’s a good pump for first time workin moms and 3. If I can pump directly into dr.browns bottles with this. I know the old Medelas you can but these go over the whole top of the bottle so I’m a little worried. Thanks again for your help!!
Hmm.. what’s your job? How important is portability? I have had a good experience with this pump, but I’ve heard complaints from heavy users (which is not me) that they’ve had to replace it several times. The company will send a new one if it dies, but just a thought. I tend to go toward the sturdy standard ones like the S1 or Luna motif because they work SO well. Unless a mom has pumped before and already knows what she likes OR if portability is super important in their job/lifestyle. Does that help?
@@NewLittleLife it does! I work as a contractor for the National park service - mostly a desk job but in the summers I’ll have to be out and about occasionally driving to meetings across the state and at paddling and cycling events and such. I have a spectra s2 that was gifted to me from a friend and plan to breastfeed when I’m with baby. I’m thinking that between the two pumps I should be covered, but would love to hear your opinion! It’s so hard to find someone who has your level of expertise on pumps! Feels like such a big decision.
Would love to know how this pump compares to the Motif or Spectra. Thanks!
It is the closest to a spectra that I’ve found in a portable

How would you rate this for someone exclusively pumping?
nice video! It's my first time Mommy. which pump you recommend between Motif Luna, Spectra 1 and this one?

Replacement parts needed for this pump. And compare it to the spectra s1 please.
Also what bottles are compatible with the flex pump if any ?

Medela has been making different parts and adapters for all their pumps recently.. it’s really hard to mix and match them 😕
Good evening, please tell me what you prefer medela freestyle ,spectra duo compact or spectra dual s ?
Hi Alison, I have searching for comparison of spectra S1 and medela freestyle flex. There is no video comparison on both. Could you tell which is more quiet?
Did u known which better ?
In the Facebook group, you said you were also getting the Sonata. Would you be able to compare this flex to the sonata? :)
You bet! I’ll put it on the list :)
@@NewLittleLife thank you so much!
I'm thinking of getting this pump, can it be used with the legendairy milk cups?
Yes! Sure can.
@@NewLittleLife do you have any hack video to show how to do it?🙂
Hi.. did u ever make a review o n this pump
would love to know how it compares to the medela swing maxi please!
I do really really want to know the comparison as well
Pregnant with my second and looking into a new pump that is hands free without the cost of the Elvie. Could you try out the Freemie cups with this and put that in your review?
You bet! I’m going to have to figure out the tubing situation since this pump has some odd shaped tubing, but I’ll give it a try!
Is the flang supposed to fit perfectly into the connector or is there supposed to be a gap?
Thanks
No gap

I would recommend this one over all the ones you mentioned.

Can you hook up the caracups to this medela pump?
Wondering the same thing too. Have you tried it?
Do you know how this compairs to the original?
Much better in my opinion. I’m not a huge fan of the original Medela.
@@NewLittleLife I loved my original freestyle but this one looks so nice.

How would you rate this pump vs GA?
Better to me if you need that vibration with the pulls like spectra
Anyone have her link to the review she said she was gonna do after using it!?
Well… I haven’t done it yet! 🙈 I do really like this pump through. Probably my favorite from Medela. If you have any questions on it, let me know!

If you already have a spectra2, go ahead with a portable option! That’ll set you up perfect I think 👍🏼
How does this compare to the budha .
Just a question, can we start pumping excusively from day one of giving birth??
If that’s what you want to do, sure!
