I still have my AKAI GX630D, along with my home made speakers that each have a 12" woofer, 2 midranges speakers, and 4 tweeters. I built those speakers 39 years ago. I did have to replace the cone support rubber rings on the two woofers after age had turned the rubber into dust. But they were as good as new after spending just $27 dollars for two new rubber support rings.
you never realize how much digital sucks until you listen to the proper analog stuff. There is a reason music was so creative in the analog days and has come to a halt with digital.
UA-cam doesn't have a sound compression it has video compression Everything uploaded to 480p vid quality is in 128kbps and everything in 720p and above is in 320KBPS so therefor better quality or quality difference But this bullshit spread around that youtube comps sound is so laughable it's the shit MP3s to start with

Pardon me, I'm very new to this kind of equipment. Would this be similar to a TEAC as far as recording? I'm looking to record some original songs and I just want to make sure this would do the job. I have found a lot of videos of people recording tracks such as this but can I use it for multitrack stuff?
Very nice, but please DO NOT record anymore over 0dB,, even on a good tape because it Will be very easy to record distorsions without even realizeing.....got mine yesterday , after a bath it performs flawlessly........it is something to see a 15 ears old child stuck on those reels , continuosly wondering , what is that..........
Hi Hennessy, I think he is adjusting the output level, not the line level. Why the meters would be over 0db. Also, you can record over 0db, just need the right tape to do it. Bias also matters in relationship to what tape you are using. I recommend Recording The Masters - RTM / SM911 1/4" Audio Tape. Get your deck biased and set for that tape and stick with it. What I have learned owning one so far, just got one too.
@@thehighend4545 agree un can record over 0dB, on some tapes , but it i not good especially for peaks values who can go overscale and distorsions will appear .
