Man, I really dig that music sample you chose to demo..... Of course, this is like advertising color televisions on a black and white TV. I'm hearing this great sound..... through youtube. Must be incredible to stand there and hear it.
That is a really nice system you have. Nothing beats a good quality analog tape deck. You can get awesome sound from vinyl with a great cartridge and even the CD sounds good if it's done right. If I had to guess, the tape is 1/4 inch and each track takes up half of the tape width. With that, you get so much detail. I'm also guessing that the tape is traveling at 15 ips. Thank you for sharing. Some of this stuff I don't even know exists.
What comes out of a tape deck, can never be better than what you put in it. So the sound of the source which is mostly a turntable or CD player must be at least so good.
Truly the one per-cent of the one-percent of the one -per-cent (you get it) as far as sound reproduction goes. Wow! Just keep those $450 releases coming so we all can dream and Mike can achieve higher levels of musical nirvana which his system begs for.
Panie Malinowski .... I trust you that it is a one fantastic piece of the magnetic recording & playback equipment !!!! I am even not asking for .... how much - because I can not purchase that.Simply, because it is out of my financial range for sure !!!! Lucky you :o)
Love it .. BTW may I ask about ( reel to reel) tape. How to get ? How to get new record ? Or how convert from cd to reel . Or there's some company that do it for you ?
Wonder if erase head is DC only (permanent magnets) and recording uses DC bias. If there is no AC inside, only DC sound could come out. This tape deck definitely uses digital counter, which is also impossible to do without AC. Sound is AC by definition. So, it is very improbable to be true.
Hi Peter, On the AudioNote set in the listening room at your home you've played and recorded on video two other tracks of Vanessa Fernandez (Led Zeppelin covers) earlier, but on vinyl. O man, that sounded so damned good. Outstanding! Although I also remember me one video on GamuT equipment in particular (not all) that was extremely good too. So, I am very curious how this "Use Me" song of Vanessa played from the same tape will sound on your Reel-to-Reel tape deck in your listening room... I wouldn't be surprised at all if it should sound even more better on your set-up. Time for a nice comparison!? :-)
I would imagine the 45 rpm record gets close, but I don't think it can match a tape deck.............The 45 rpm "Dream With Dean" is awesome, but compared to Chad's copy of the master......................
What gets me is that, no matter how many millions $, you can never top the real thing. Listening to the artists directly as long as they are real performers not some sequencer creator.
Why not give the money used in such system to the poor or another good purpose, because this is a waste of money. Music without noise kills the natural music experience. If you are at a concert you are there to get the whole package ... Music is feelings, not sterile and noise free. But off course this audiophile thing is big business. So folks.. to get good sound you do not need to spend more than a fraction of what this costs !! Now I will enjoy some good music :-)
Stop telling other people what to do with their own money. If you give the money from all the audiophile equipment in the world (which is a tiny industry globally) to the world's poor they would each receive around 5 cents. No need for this useless guilt tripping.
How do you know that he hasn't helped those that are less fortunate? That's kind of a crappy thing to assume. A lot of rich people actually donate to charities and it's a lot more common than people think, cause people generally aren't assholes

Make a reel for the average Joe. You will make more money and get more business and people who love this format will be happy.
Her voice sounds like it's just right there, right in the room. She's singing in your living room. Wild
Superb, and a beautiful room. Lucky guy.
I took a close look at the tape transport and it looks like it has the Teac/Tascam transport.

yes this truly sounds the best as so far I heart on youtube

Thanks i have to admit the sound exceeds my expectation.
I always heard myself that reel to reel & decent decks at 7.5" + gave the best full believable sound with the right recording .
Panie Malinowski .... I trust you that it is a one fantastic piece of the magnetic recording & playback equipment !!!! I am even not asking for .... how much - because I can not purchase that.Simply, because it is out of my financial range for sure !!!!
Lucky you :o)
...ROLLS-ROYCE... IN AUDIO...
CONGRATULATION !
SUPER SOUND -- AMAZING !!
Reel to Reel is the best sound duplicated from a musical instrument. 10" Reels a must.
Certainly right up Mike's alley.
How does this compare to the new Ball Finger M063H5 reel to reel
So the goal of Vanessa's summoning seems to be accomplished.
Wow some great Hi- Tech electronics - sounds awesome! :)
Love it .. BTW may I ask about ( reel to reel) tape. How to get ? How to get new record ? Or how convert from cd to reel . Or there's some company that do it for you ?
I'm not envious of wealth, just curious. How does one amass such a fortune, with all the toys to go with?
you buy one apple for 5 cents and sell it for 10 cents, you buy two apples ... you understand the rest. Then your aunt dies and leaves millions.
You are looking at about $300,000 all in
By voting Republican.
No AC in the deck is quite interesting!
Too bad all the cables aren't hidden under the floor...

HIGH END HEAVEN!!!!
yeah... synergistic fuses, LOL! I was having a blast!
Very cool sound, amazin.

I wonder what Miles Davis sounded in this room ? Must be massive .
Sounds good.
Ovo Nema U Srbiji Kako Se Može Kupiti Ovaj lepotan Fantomski
yeh i got all that stuff too
Any audiophile/music lover's dream. I always loved reel to reel. Had a cheap Akai M9 decades ago. But I hate that music sorry to say.
NICE
How much is the reel to reel recorder and how can I get one
www.unitedhomeproducts.com/
Can you buy pre recorded reel to reel ?
Yes, from many sources. We have a list on our forums.
Very beautiful ...
Cobalt amorphous heads on that deck?
As cobalt is radioactive i doubt it.
Amorphous heads are currently unobtainium. When they were they were glass or ferrite.
Wow
Wow!!!!!
Very nice
Very reveling mid, treble, and well balanced sound. The upper bass lacked definition. The speaker's would not be my choice.
A beautiful room and system. Too bad we will never be about to hear its glorious sound via the internet. :-(
Yeah shame.....

I'll give it spin and report back.

The system sounds really good but a bit too fast for me.
I wan to live in that room..

........!!!
Однако, не хреново!!!

Your view regarding people making their own decisions is frightening. You have an immense ego and have the communist schtic down pat.
