In this video I install new Bendix-style brakes and drums on all four wheels of the speedster.Total hours invested now equal 1158.5
The talent this young man displays just amazes me !!
Real drag about the virus, but the positive side is we get to see the build progress, looking forward to seeing more of the body.
🤓👍
Well said! Every cloud etc..
Love the look of the cap on the drag link end. New parts for brakes is a worthwhile investment.
Just remember your priority is your classes even though they’re online. We can wait for videos.
I’ll be picking my daughter up this weekend now that she’s had time to figure out her research project with her professor.
Online exams should be very interesting to see how the schools figure out how to try to prevent cheating.
Wow, simply wow. I can't tell you how much of a relief it is to see somebody doing calm and precise work. With the world going crazy around and people shouting at each other, I always think: look at this guy. You can't engineer something as delicate as this by yelling and swearing. This is just so impressive.
Love the "bullet" touch - more please over the "Corona" period - but stay safe.
The new brakes look really good on the speedster. Good call on the new brakes.
I never would have thought of the drag link cap. Great detail!
Somebody get this guy on television asap.
Its great watching another young maker work on his project during this trying time
Those Brake Modifications have lifted the project to an even more authentic period look, The end finisher for the drag link was an inspired bit of thinking well done. While the Pandemic is Terrible for us all, your car build video's are a wonderful Look forward and Distraction. Thank you for sharing and take care of yourself.
There is no better way of self isolating than closing the workshop door on the World for a while. Nice looking brakes and the finial was perfect.
I cant even remember the last time I worked on a drum brake. I’m guessing it was well before this young lad was born. It was a wise decision to go with new brake assemblies. Some nice braided lines would add to the look.
Love your videos! So unlike many others trying to be funny or cool all the time. Very professional. I am now subscribed. You vids are all about fabrication, and the content is so interesting. I call you "The Metal Whisperer"...G-d Speed my friend. 🙂
Sorry your home from school but glad to see you working on your project
That looks great what you built there..just a natural tallent.you look like you should open up a tv car building show.
Great idea. Good to see you fit and well. This is looking good. Stay safe and well! I look forward to watching as we are locked down in our houses in France and will continue to be for months. It's the only way to stop this thing. But watching you build this beauty will help! Good luck.
Nice job. Thanks for video. Great distraction from isolation in London Uk. Wishing you well.
you simply amaze me with your crazy skills !!!!
Great job. The new brakes look perfectly period and will certainly be safer. The turned bullet on the steering arm is a brilliant finishing touch. Nice one.
I'm excited to see what you do next. Cheers.
Really like the look of those drums
Sweat brakes and nice touch on the ball tip! Oh and, bout damn time your college sent you home! We've missed your show! :D Oh, have you considered live streaming you shopwork? Maybe take a poll and see who'd be interested in tuning in; I would be.
Love your work buddy. Stay well and keep us posted !!!
Mike Fifer
Thank you for the nice distraction in this time of gloom. That drag link cap is beautiful, I can't wait for the next installment.
Some air scoops on the backing plates would be nice too !Keep up the good work. The jaguar engine was a great pick !
Looking forward to seeing you getting stuff in motion. I wanna go for a ride when done! This is probably the coolest things going in my list of channels.
I didn't think anything good could come from the Covid-19 pandemic, but seeing more of your videos is definitely going to help some of us make it through these tough times. Good luck with your schooling and be well.
it is the details that take time and you can do a lot of work with not much to show, then like magic, a lot of stuff goes together and you feel you have made progress. We that is how it feels to me on my retoration project.
*Looking Great!!!*
_Well Worth the price for the new brake system if you plan to drive it a lot!_
Super cool looking brakes!
Another great video loving the progress
That tip you made looks hella cool. The car is really coming along nicely
Looking really nice, particularly liked the technique at 2:01
Good work, pal! Keep it up! 👍
Great job, I’d pin that steering end that you made so it doesn’t fall out when you’re driving
Welcome back. My college here in Hawai'i also shut down for the time being. Plenty onlinbe project to finish though. Looking forward to more, keep up the great work.
Looking forward to the next one! Excellent work
I want one tooo😬😬 absolutely love this project, keep up the good work!!!👍🏼
so happy to see your videos
Neat job done there.
Car is looking awesome!!
Looking 4ward to more on the roadster cheers from uk
You could always drill some speed holes in those backing plates and get them chromed, or build some cooling vents. Louvered side panels would look cool too.
Thank you Corona-chan, thank you for more Macro Machines
That is a great looking drum 🇬🇧
Love your videos always interesting. Be safe and your bullet cap really looks good.
Great work mate.
7:53 so much yes in this sec right here. Well done. Was that The Boss playing in the background?
It's as if it was always there. :)
I love your dirty, rough hands (I hope that sounded ok). So often I see people working on very clean, new parts, wearing rubber gloves, yuck. I can see the love of building that you have and solving problems, not just rushing thru and taking short cuts. My shop is my therapy and relaxation. Glad you can still finish the school courses.
Parabéns pelo belo trabalho... manda um abraço para os Brazileiros!!!
finally a positve side from corona more post from u😁
keep up the good work grtz from the Netherlands
Wonderful as usual
Seen the video , next one please .cant wait a week , get to the garage !!
Increíble, necesitamos más vídeos!!!
Keep up the awesome work! You have a bright future for sure!
Amazing!
Keep up the amazing work..!
Looking great!
YOU SHOULD PUT A LIGHT IN IT LIKE A LITTLE PARKING LIGHT LOL
Nice snow boots.
I knew there was a positive side to the coronavirus! Awesome! Can't wait to see the project accelerate!
you my man are an Artist.. well done once again! stay safe. cheers.
nice add on but do not forget the cotter pin before you drive.
When you get that car done it will be awesome looking
FINALLY a new video, can't wait to watch it :-) keep 'em comin' and keep up the awesome work :-)
Dude, so inspiring
Enjoying your work very much. I admire your skills and workmanship.
I notice that the very front "horns" of the chassis are not connected to one another, whereas most, if not all period cars had a tubular crossmember tying the two together. Might it be worth mocking it up with a bit of tube or dowel- you might think it looks" right"
I have, and I probably will put a tube across the front because I like that look
Looking forward to this period of isolation now if it means more build videos.
Any news on the Jaguar?
Welcome home .
I didn't see you use any kind of cotter pin to make sure the hub nuts don't back off?
Love shorts and pac boots look!
The only good thing to come from Coronavirus...
More content from MacroMachines.
A common upgrade to stock Lincoln brakes in the 50s was Buick finned drums.
I'm familiar, but those would look silly on a car like this
yay, more videos!
yup thiose are crazy expensive brakes... i've priced them before. but they do look the part and you won't have to worry about them. btw @7:18... great mood music.
Think what would have been cool is big vintage drums but build internally mounted disc brakes so the drums arefor only looks if it is possible
But looks really cool
Super Cool way to saty in social isolation!!! lol
Very nice craftsmanship, one thing. You don't need to have shown each brake upgrade. One front brake upgrade and one rear upgrade would be enough. Very nice little project to the steering link, looks great.
What will you be using as a parking brake setup? I don't remember if there was a drive shaft parking brake, or if you will be running cables to the rear brakes, if they are equipped with the parking brake hardware.
the rear brakes are set up for a cable parking brake
Hi nice job love this series, can I ask you why you don’t use disc brakes for the front?
because that would ruin the '30s theme of the car
MacroMachines ok thanks makes sense and drums when working and adjusted properly work as good.
Welcome back!
Fantastic
Them are some nice shoes
AWESOME!
Dont forget to add the self adjusting parts
Hey MacroMachines. So I noticed that there were no cotter pins or any wire through the castle nuts in the back, is it suppose to be done like that? Man you are so talented, to be able to just make those end caps like that..pretty cool man. Have a good one man
Yeah, they'll get cotter pins eventually
Streamline rulez! ;) Stay healthy!
Nice..keep safe.
Nice!
yes
Yes, having enormous amounts of money to spend is better than dying.
I love your attention to detail. It's the sign of a great build.
Make the most of the opportunity... you might have the coolest car ever in the Collage parking lot... and take care of yourself.
👍
Máquina chique....
Nice
👍 👍
5:35 been sharpening your Tungsten on that wheel haven't you?
So the virus was a boon for you. Yes, you still have classes online, but now free time you'd have had at the dorm you can now spend at home on the project, moving it along just that much faster. Now that I see the body, the next thing I want to see is the engine rebuild and the radiator fitting/build.
Ты крут! Внимательно слежу твоей машинкой =)
👍👍 😎
give us more info on these parts
