“Sarmatia is F tier” *laughs maniacally in auxiliary Sarmatian cataphracts*. But seriously great guide, I finally jumped into DEI with no knowledge so when I finally discovered Egypt as Rome after my Punic war (which lasted 200 turns against the African alliance!) I knew they had to be my next target. That entire province truly turned me from a struggling Empire into an unstoppable juggernaut.
Hey! Illyria's settlements have excellent industrial income bonuses! Not to mention that the Ardaei have COPPER, a resource which is used to automatically upgrade the armor or weapons of your troops, and Marble, resources that are required to construct the higher tier barracks and max level main settlements of many factions respectively.
1st I have to ask. Ik you play alot of Rome 2 so was this an easy tier list to make? Or did you have to do a lot of research especially for some of the more insignificant province. 2. Im really surprised Africa is not S tier. Ik it would be in my list. But that's just my two cents.
Yeah we have played way too much Rome 2 in our time😆 With that being said the province ranking has been decided through long calculations, experiments over time and so on. Africa is still a very strong province. Can even be considered an S-tier for Carthage only due punic culture dominating. But for other nations it isn't that good as well as the others just being on another lvl in terms of OPness😁
This is a fantastic guide. Thank you! Do you know what happened to Summary? I see a message on his channel that says it got terminated for violating TOS, but that seems bogus.

The province tier list itself probably doesn't really fit with the vanilla edition. But as far as I know the more towns in a province, the better economic potential it has
How would you recommend me to develop Asia Minor? Do I go commerce route or do I go culture route? Are there any pictures of the god tier building set? Thank you so much.
Doing a Marcomanni campaign and i am currwntly holding Raetia et noricum without the provincial capital of Noricum, Hercynia, Leugia I am tryimg to make my economy work fast as tensions rise with the Dancians amd Octavian, the unit roster is not as great compared to the grand campaign however they still outclass vanilla 3000% times over
The Marcomanni is a faction I really wanna try out too. A really cool faction in a tough situation. Sounds like an interesting position. Any plans on uniting Germania?
@@Toxborg yeah, i already got The buri under my wing si technically i am germania and i am in a defensive pact, trade and military access with every german beyond The rhine so i am trying to unite The rest of them through diplomacy rather than warfare, as i said before Octavian is a problem along The Dacians and i am trying to make my economy work as i have 2 good armies, 1 garrison (general) army and 2 governors
It depends on the province. Focusing on research is always a safe option but some of the F tier economy provinces are more suited for farming of military
For barbaric factions agriculture is the way to go. The export edict can be super effective if you focus on that. The livestock buildings will help the most

How come you dont show any of the math you did to come up with this map? Im pretty much just trusting you to be correct about this. Most of youre explainations are "what you can do here is just wow"
Oh that is because it was my friend Summary who made the calculations and I was just showcasing the results. I believe all of the math can be found in the file that the link in the description will lead you to. I also believe I mentioned that in one of the earlier parts of this economy guide😁
This is incredibly well edited. I'm loving these DEI guides Tox!
Thank you Happy! I'm glad you liked the animation!🤩
Shame most of Iberia is considered F tier considering the history of the silver mines and how those mines helped Carthage and Rome

That is so awesome to hear!
The punic war in dei is epic. Ive defeated at least 12 full armies of Carthage and im still not done

But still they are nothing compared to the rest. It is kinda insane really🤣
excellent series, a must view for all new players!
well done ! imo Thracia is A tier as a slavery income + recruiting rejoin
Thracia certainly is a strong province. Just not as good as the others though ;D
Thanks Tox! I'm diving deeper into these videos about culture, economy and stuff.. Helps me in my h2h campaign..
Wuhu! What factions are you and your mate playing as?
@@Toxborg Me as Baktria he as Odrysian kingdom..
A fair fight. Baktria has the easier start and Odrysian have an almost OP roster.
@@Toxborg True! But managing economy, building correct buildings and all that is still pain in ... :)
That is why Summary and I got your back 😉
Dont watch all your videos but this one was very well done and unique!
As long as you enjoyed the ones you see XD
Thank you for doing this. Helps out a ton.
Np brotha! I'll do something similar but for each individual faction at some point😄
Does anone happen to know name of the song playing at 1:00 ? I have been searching for it for years, and it is dlslowly driving me nuts.
This is a very interesting video thank you
Glad you think so! It was a ton of fun to make as well :D

He told me YT banned his channel, but he appealled the case and thus resolved the issue :D
I was debating on wether or not to occupy Britannia or just client it so thanks for a definitive answer.
Glad to help😁
Is there any chance we can get access to the original written guide?

You don't like me saying "spread happiness"? Why is that?
@@Toxborg when you say it sounds cringe worthy with your accent. simply said. your voice don't fit with it. nothing bad overall with it though.
I value your honesty mate! My danish accent gets the better of my. Oh well, I'll have to come up with something different XD
Is this Tier List still viable?
It has been 2 years, has really the economy of DEI hasn’t changed that much?
Mostly - The best provinces are still the best at least :D
Hi Tox, hopefully you still reading this comments. I was wondering how much of this could be applied to the Vanille edition.

I believe there is a screenshot in the attached file in the description. But basically it is the same commerce setup as we showed in part 3
@@Toxborg Yes, thank you
