a good demo thanks! i would pay a little more to have also an interface here too as in one model. There is no place for guitar though😢

Thanks man. I’m still using this unit for all my gigs and don’t see why I’d switch. It’s an incredible value. Time and space saver.

First off Noah let me just say that above and beyond the great information you gave here, you have a fantastic voice and I think ultimately the usefulness and impact of a harmonizer is ultimately influenced by the quality of the original voice. So mission accomplished there for you.
I did wish you included some harmonizing at the end along with the other effects. But it was fine.
That being said, prior yo watching this, I was torn between the VG and the Boss VE-2. I read ur comparison on your blog, and it sounds like the only thing missing on the VG that the VE2 has the ability to use both discrete key setting and input driven Harmony.
But other than that it sounds like the perform VG id superior. So I'm going to look into getting one. Thank you so much!

Hey Marc, thanks man, appreciate the compliment on my voice. Glad this information was useful to you. I wish I included an actual demo of the pedal too!
I'll say, if you're planning to gig with it, the Perform VG is awesome. It's so nice even just to have your mix control mounted on your mic stand. Less set up and tear down. One less thing to carry. The ease of use and compact controls... I think it's just an awesome unit. I lost mine recently. Accidentally left the mic stand at a gig with the VG and mic still in it. Sad day.

@@booknoahgrove Oh no! So sorry you lost it, Noah. That sucks, especially after all the hard work you put in making this very helpful video. Plus how much you really like it. Sorry man. 😔
Yw for the praise. Very deserving. And yeah I do think it's cool how it attaches to the mic stand. However, not sure how that's gonna work for me. I'm a keyboardist so I plan on using it with my Yamaha. And when I set up the mic, the base of the stand is to the left of my keyboard, and the boom part goes horizontally across the lower half of the keys, so the mic can be right in front of me. (It makes sort of an upside down L if you can picture that.)
Anyway, that means if the VG is attached to my mic stand, it'll be off to the left because attaching it to the boom portion would have it hanging down over my keys.
But ur suggestion about buying the 6 button foot switch may be the way that I have to go. And that's not such a bad thing because I was thinking of buying one to turn the pages on my tablet as I play. So I probably would've needed the switch anyway. Thanks again! 🎹🥳

@@marcweissman5752 just seeing this response. I must’ve missed the notification. Sorry for that. Thanks again. Yeah it was a bummer, but I looked at the positive side. I grew to rely on the Perform VG to fill out parts of songs and lift the energy. Losing it made me strengthen my vocals. Like yesterday, I accidentally left my harmonica at home and I rely significantly on the harmonica for instrumental portions of songs and to create strong positive ambience. I would prefer to have the harmonica because I know what I can do with it, but the surprise of not having it is a challenge that forces me to improve in other ways that make me better.
I used to Velcro the Perform VG on a keyboard for a looping setup I had. But if there is a way to mount it on a mic stand I liked that best because it reduced set up and tear down by quite a few steps every night.
The Boss VE-2 is solid and the dual method of calculating harmonies does seem to make for more accurate results, but I found that I preferred having a few mistakes if that meant I didn’t have to reach down and change the key setting between every song and delay my engagement with the audience repeatedly even if brief.
I’ve now bought a used TC Voicelive Rack that I’m using for a looping setup and am very happy with it. I do my solo acoustic gigs without a harmonizer for now, but I’ve been very tempted to buy another Perform VG.
Lastly, if you ended up getting a Perform VG and you want/need the Switch 6, I have one I could sell and ship to you. If you’re interested let me know. I’m sure I can offer a decent price and it’s in great shape.

@@booknoahgrove Oh wow! Tx u so much for the response and the Switch 6 offer, Noah. No worries about the delayed reply. I understand. And I just might take you up on the Switch 6 offer.
I did order the Perform VG from Guitar Center, but it was on back order until November, so it hasn't shipped yet. But once it does, I'm going to try it out with my keyboard. From what I've read on various sites, the VG works well with a keyboard as well as a guitar, but I wanna make sure obviously. The VK was on back order until January which is another reason why I went with the VG first. So if the VG ends up not working out, I can always return it and order the VK in January. We shall see.
In the meantime, if you could please hang on to the Switch 6 while I figure out which one I will use, that would be great. I would definitely consider buying it from you once I'm sure which Perform harmonizer to go with, Tx u so much again for the offer! Really appreciate it.

Hi! How can I send signal to external mix to control both volumes? Vocals and guitar separately? When I play with band, the sound engeneer wants to control both separately.

    • @booknoahgrove
      @booknoahgrove  Місяць тому

@@BirnyX you would have to send a quarter inch out from the guitar IN/OUT, but this would give the sound engineer a guitar signal without any of the Perform VG effects on it. There isn’t a way with this unit to send vocals and guitar independently with its effects on both. You would have to add effects to the guitar with other gear.
