Did you have to manually install the cartridges, or were they installed direct from the factory? Did you have to download any drivers or anything like that (what was the procedure?) , or did it come with only the requirement of simply putting in the ink and connecting to WiFi?
No, this is a tank printer. You just have to install the ink bottles in the tanks. The drivers will download as soon as you connect the printer if not, you can find the drivers online.
I just got this printer on 9/18. So far so good. Its pretty fast and quiet even w/o the quiet mode activated. Set up was a breeze. It must be a popular model. Canon is out of stock and so is Amazon. I haven't printed any pictures yet.
I would also be curious to know why you would recommend the Epson ET-4850 over this Canon GX-4020. I've read that there are wifi issues with the ET-4850.
@@alison994 I bought the Canon earlier this year anyway. I've also read that Epson doesn't have a feature to auto-flip pages when scanning. I have printed many colored documents for school ever since buying the Cannon. Never had to refill the ink yet. The Canon is great!
I can understand why you might feel that way, but giving informative and unbiased reviews is in my best interest as well, because it creates trust. I talk about a lot of different printers, and I'm just here to help people make the best choice for their needs.
