I’ve said it so many times. Didn’t Aikman have Emmit, Michael, one of the great O-lines in history and a top 3 defense for all of their SB years? Didn’t Montana and Young benefit from the most innovative offensive mind along with the greatest receiver ever, and a top defense? Every great QB in the HOF has had a strong cast of supporting characters - usually on both sides of the ball. Brock is the most timely and accurate passer I’ve seen since Brees. He’s a stud and will be in the MVP race again this year.

Football is subtely the hardest sport to evaluate. There are so many moving parts that have to go right for a play to work AND the OC has the call a good play for that situation.
Good quarterbacks can create stars. Peyton had people like that both on the Colts and the Broncos. Not saying they weren't good players, but having Payton as a QB made them great players.

Keep it up, folks. You can continually have surprised Pikachu faces while Purdy swipes your lunch from your hand and eats it in front of you. Even more so if his receivers can handle receptions just a little better than they have been.
People know how good purdy is, they just won’t say it out loud.
People who are surprised haven't been watching Purdy play closely. Even when we are losing, Purdy is always putting the squad on his back and giving them a chance to win.
Brock is great. You could tell on his first snap when he was called off the bench. He’s a natural. He’s been the best QB stats wise, in the last 1 1/2+ yrs. I laugh when sports writers elevated Stroud above Purdy, before he’s ever won a playoff game. Purdy’s won 4.
I think this shows how many people don't actually know football who are in the media. Almost all former or current players see what purdy can do and those are the people I actually trust to know what they are talking about.
After the last 2 weeks, Purdy is the least of my concern w/ this team going forward. I don't see why there is still so much criticism thrown @ him
I’ve said it so many times. Didn’t Aikman have Emmit, Michael, one of the great O-lines in history and a top 3 defense for all of their SB years? Didn’t Montana and Young benefit from the most innovative offensive mind along with the greatest receiver ever, and a top defense? Every great QB in the HOF has had a strong cast of supporting characters - usually on both sides of the ball. Brock is the most timely and accurate passer I’ve seen since Brees. He’s a stud and will be in the MVP race again this year.

Football is subtely the hardest sport to evaluate. There are so many moving parts that have to go right for a play to work AND the OC has the call a good play for that situation.
Good quarterbacks can create stars. Peyton had people like that both on the Colts and the Broncos. Not saying they weren't good players, but having Payton as a QB made them great players.
Olsen actually knows football. Nick Wright and Colin Cowherd are just personalities that constantly get things wrong.

If they got what they have been calling for, Kittle would have been traded a couple of years ago. Kyle and Lynch would have been fired, and our starting QB would be either Lance or Kaepernick. Last time I looked football was still a team sport-so of course an individual is going to be affected by the play of his teammates.
But hasn't it been obvious since Purdy's debut that he helps to elevate the play of his teammates-just as they do the same to him?
Purdy proved me wrong and I give him a lot of credit. I do not feel in the least bit embarrassed or regretful for being skeptical. You don't reward someone until they pass a test. That's what Purdy was missing at the time. He hadn't proven he can be great w/o CMC. However, I still think CMC when healthy is the best player on the team.

I remember pundits gushing over a Garoppolo throw to Sanders where he showed anticipation. Purdy does it on almost every throw but gets little to no respect. He has all the attributes except height, a bullet throw and a high draft pick.

Said it long ago, say it again now......Purdy doesn't have trouble without this person or that person. He has trouble with not having rhythm with them. Mid game injuries would be his biggest hurdle, but if he practices with people he's fine regardless of who it is
Scouts don’t know as much as teams hope to. If you watch Purdy in college, he should’ve never been drafted that late. He led the Big 12 in passing yards 3 times I believe. Teams and analyst are just upset because a use their team didn’t draft him.

It’s kind of wild that niner fans are freaking out about CMC being out and most are ready to throw the season over it. If you watch the games tho, it’s pretty clear that the offense is not the problem. 21+ points a hand through 3 weeks, running game is still effective, passing game obviously effective, Purdy is getting time to through. It’s the defense that’s having issue. And I fully blame Sorenson. Kyle needs to reel him in.

And we’ve won the division and went to playoffs with less effective offenses in the past. We had a good defense tho. It’s not like we lost a bunch of players either. We’re missing Dre and now Hargrave, but if Sorenson can get the D back on track, the season will turn around.
