Great point and I would likely order a pair of ErgoArms (this one looks very well engineered) if available as I have both an SW321C and SW271 and just recently had to put them back on their native bases and off the dual articulating arms I have (long story but the setup just wasn’t working on my specific desk setup). In my revised setup the monitors now work much better, ergonomically speaking, but I would love to remove the bases for a cleaner desktop and utilize that desk space beneath the monitors.

@@ArtIsRight Understood, Art, and thanks but as brand ambassador and to the extent you can, I would greatly encourage Benq to have versions of these Ergo Arms available for other of their monitors. Thanks for the good info. I've ordered mine to replace a Dell pro level monitor I've had for several years. My question is how do you mount the ergo arm on a wooden desk that has a one inch lip that's about 2 inches deep before hitting the main base and no hole in the top of it. I dont want to have to drill a hole and the 2706 with a standard base isnt available.
You'll see that the ergo arm mount is like a U shape thing that will allow you to go pass the lip. And if anything you can always put a small wood block to decrease the vertical mounting depth.

Art I have a silly question for you, so please indulge me. Why would anyone get or want a PD2706 when the PD2705 is almost identical? When you address my question then I will give you the backstory
And here’s the backstory, and what I’m being told: “ the PD3205UA is almost Identical to the PD2706 model with the exception of color gamut. While the PD2706UA is listing a 90% DCI-P3 color gamut, there is no percentage listed for DCI-P3 with the PD3205UA model. The Rec. 709 and sRGB color gamut are identical for both the PD3205UA and the PD2706UA models at 99% for both. I am fairly certain the missing DCI-PC color gamut specification will not be an issue with the kind of workflow you described. ” Isn’t this inaccurate? 90%? Almost identical? Then why was the 2706 made if it’s identical to a previous model?

Is this a model that “if you have to ask the price, it is too expensive for you?”
$629.99 US. Prices are not listed because it can chance and it is highly depend on regions and territories.

@@ArtIsRight Thanks. Not a bad price.
Here is the $64,000 Question
I’m ready to buy the 2706 UA sounds wonderful
question…
is there a 32 inch version of this? Please tell me out or coming soon please please please lol.
😊
There's something close PD3205U /UA or another one to consider is the PD3220U which is flagship
But I like the specs on the 2706 UA I was hoping Ben Q was coming out with the 3206 UA considering they did that on the 05 versions
Art here are the things that I’m trying to do.
Hopefully when you get the chance you could address these specifically.
I need to focus on one Monitor to purchase. I respect your opinion highly..
Love the idea of the ERGO Arm
Loved the PD 2706 UA features for the most part that’s why I was hoping for 32 version of this. I don’t mind waiting if it’s coming I know you can’t talk about product but if you could say hey, that’s not a bad idea to wait you never know… Lol.
I’m will be doing podcasts on the setup because I’m a broadcaster of over 40 years with television and radio.
I’m a Photographer
I do NOT do weddings or fashion or assignments. Would if if I was a little younger ha ha.
I mainly doing creative fine art Phitography of my past work and current coming up that I want to showcase on the gallery website.
If I was younger, I would’ve printed out my work. No need to now.
So what will happen this will be a showcase of my work for customers to see order prints in different sizes in frames etc. at the third-party company that’s associated with that website. Well then print and send to the customer.
Those companies are some of the well-known photography companies in the United States so I’m sure you know then if I said their names.
Lastly, I have color work but I also love black and white so I want good representation of black and white doesn’t have to be perfect but it Hass to be for showing on the gallery and then being printed out for customers for wall art or posters, etc.
So….
With all that in mind trying to stay within a budget of 750 or lower. What would you recommend that would cover all my above bases?
knowing that I’ll have some negatives but it covers almost everything that I need to do.
Can’t afford thousand dollars up, etc.
Already getting the new MacBook Pro 16 with an M3 pro chip with 32 GB of memory per your recommendations. When I asked you you said that was a great set up.
That’s going to cost $3200 lol
Sorry for being long-winded, but I really am ready to get the monitor from BenQ but I need to know the above items.
Thanks, Art.
Forgot the most important part I will be using Lightroom classic maybe every now and then dabbling in adobe Photoshop.
Where do I really need P3 in the post I put above of all my needs and where do I really need adobe RGB with the post above of all my needs?

I have a silly question for you, so please indulge me.
Why would anyone get or want a PD2706 when the PD2705 is almost identical?
When you address my question then I will give you the backstory
Color gamut coverage mostly 95% P3 in the 06 and much smaller in the 05 and PD, more power in the 06 vs 05 ua-cam.com/video/om6Hat8w32Y/v-deo.html
And here’s the backstory, and what I’m being told:
“ the PD3205UA is almost Identical to the PD2706 model with the exception of color gamut.
Isn’t this inaccurate?
90%?
Almost identical?
Then why was the 2706 made if it’s identical to a previous model?

I would assume if I use this Monitor to edit 3rd party companies can print accurately from my images?
Lastly, I have color work but I also love BLACK AND WHITE so I want good representation of Full range of grayscale
doesn’t have to be perfect but it has to be for showing on the gallery and then being printed out for customers for wall art or posters, etc.
Any issues with the PD2706UA having a “Green Tint” when displaying deep blacks?
I will be using Lightroom Classic to edit
Can I use Adobe Photoshop with this monitor (lightly)

I feel this display would be a good fit. The tinting will be ok once it is backlight - display on. So you should be fine. I would purchase it and give it a try.
ART any issues using adobe Photoshop on this now and then?
OR Because BenQ doesn’t “show”Adobe RGB
photoshop becomes unusable?
my main workflow software is Lightroom
This is basically my crucial question can I use adobe Photoshop at all on the PD 2706 UA?
Looks like a decent screen, but still only 4K! Unfortunately for me, pixel density is king. i could never go back to anything below 5k on a 27inch for design work now. I dread the day my LG5K dies and the only option i'm left with is an Apple display! It's pretty sad that so few players have seriously (reasonably priced) entered into the colour accurate 5k display market over the years, there's only really Apple left at the moment! Maybe you could twist the powers that be over at at BenQ's arms a bit Art? The Ergo Arm looks good, I dread to think how much the Cupertino mafia would charge for something like that?
reading this comment on my HD display.
5K is only in Apple & LG because there was a development alliance and with that comes a production sales embargo for a set period of time.
Hello - Can you change the luminosity and volume with an apple magic keyboard ?
Thanks
No, you can't do that with any 3rd party display.
Hello my friend
===============
I have a very important question
What is the area ratio of the color display file name?
prophoto rgb
eciRGB_v2
Via Horseshoe 1976
on this screen?
We want the above color space percentage before and after calibration by doing an external calibration with an x-rite calibration device
We want an explanatory video of these important parts
Thank you very much. Good luck

I understand from your reply:
This screen supports the following files
prophoto rgb
eciRGB_v2
Low right?
The screens are of the type
IPS
Its display is very poor for RGB colors compared to OLED screens, right?
I was right with my guess 😬😬
what guess?
@Em Totally @Jay G it was a response to my tease post on the UA-cam community.
