- A Long Weekend as a #bus driver, We start our weekend on Friday on the #464 on the school run before doing a full round trip to Rochdale. Saturday were back with #464 to do a full day and on Sunday we end up working away at blackburn Bus co on route I've never done.

Good thing about the 152 is that it is a pretty much a straight route. I was raised in Clayton - Le - Moors and we had a diet of Blue and red Atlantians when I lived there. But the place has never changed, even the Hairy Hounds still exists. Of course, the 152 was a Ribble buses route back when I lived there. I now work as an inspector in Malta for the bus company there. Fun-Facked, one of Hyndburn Transport's Dennis Falcon single decks made it's way to Malta and as far as I am aware has been repatriated back to the UK. I was fortunate enough to see it in a field next to MIA before it was sold for preservation. Unfortunately, I have no idea where it is now.
Wow 😳 It's amazing where buses end up when they come to the end of their life with our companies and they built them to last in those days.

I do like the positioning of the camera - good to see inside the cab as your driving, how you deal with the passengers, plus we get to see the traffic around you. You suite the glasses 😎. I totally forgot about the window behind the cab. That took a little getting to used to on Mainline, always felt the eyes on the back of my head lol.
To be honest I kinda don't mind the screen as it's like looking through a different world and I've nothing to hide except my can of Red Bull. I always think my sunglasses look over the top but they were the only ones that they had lol 😂.
Really enjoyed this video - the fear doing a route when you don't completely know it. I set off on an X43 after being shown it (and being passengers a few times) and as soon as I left the bus station the question of "Do I really know this route..." just hit me like a bag of spuds. Luckily I was fine lol.
It's all the little nuances like positioning of the bus. Little speed bumps, little bumps in the road, is that Bus shelter hanging over? These are little things that get me nervous.
Fantastic video as always. Best yet infact. Completely understand why the route visuals are speeded up in these types of vlog, but could we get the route visuals at normal speed or slightly sped up as separate “bonus” content?

Go on over to Chorley on the 2 its not packed with activities but its a good route for sure and the bus station isn't half bad

Maybe do some recording when your ever on the Irwell line if they decide to randomly put you on it
I know, it's such a shame that BB Rosso lost their routes. I loved working on Irwell one of my favorite routes

Thank you for pointing this out. I thought I blurred everyone out. I Must make a mistake when working on the project files. I have full footage going up on Tuesday. I Will check the master file now

It's been a while since I've travelled on a Transdev bus since passing my driving test. I didn't realise there was a screen between the driver and passangers now
Congratulations on passing your driving test. The screen was introduced in a pandemic but for some reason we still have them but I have heard of drivers being threatened so maybe it is still worth being up
@@anthonyleecookeif the company was able to, I would’ve made stuff for all cab doors for one in case they think they get harassed on that part of their shift
@@OTG9.3 yea we don't get many incidents on our buses we've had a few but all turn out to be driver led
I have a question, is R100 TDV at the Blackburn depot? If it is are you able to do a short video if you get chance?
It is and we are not allowed. The GM of Blackburn bus company doesn't want it being made. so i have to respect there views.

@@anthonyleecooke Would you also know what is happening with the YD63’s buses ex Rossendale Rovers that are sat in Burnley as they went in March do you know if they are due to be scarpped or get reused? I think it’s YD63 UZP, YD63 UZS, YD63 UZT & YD63 UZU? If you don’t know it’s fine as I know you do Blackburn and they usually go to Queensgate they stopped in March?
