"Hands to the sky [hands in the air], Give yourself a hug [children hug themselves], catch a bubble [breath in air & puff out cheeks]." I just happen to make this up one year, and it's been a hit in every class😁🤗 Thought I'd share!
Amazing tips! I am a new lunchtime supervisor in a kindergarten class as well as casual supply teacher in an elementary school. I just subscribed to your channel; your videos are so helpful! These chants will be perfect for helping my Kinders get ready for the hallway!
Thanks for the encouragement, Jacqueline! I took a break for the summer but am ready to load a few more in the next couple weeks. Do you have any specific topics that you would like covered?
Cindy, thank you! I am dreaming a dream where this works with my 3rd graders... who are in the stage where, instead of going along with ya, half of them must do the opposite. But I will try these anyway.
Just happened to see your video as I was looking for something suitable for the kids waiting in line. Thank you so much for the chants! Gonna try them! Thanks again! :)
@@positivepreschooltips Thanks a lot for your reply! 😊 I tried the one with 1, 2 Check your shoes several times already. (I said the chant when we were getting ready to the playground for recess.) The kids did pay attention to me. A couple of them even tried to repeat the chant even though it was difficult for them. I'm teaching 3-4-year-olds English in a kindergarten in Taiwan. I'm hoping they can learn to say the chant gradually! I'm sure they will! 😊 Thanks again and God bless you! 😊❤
There also one I did in kindergarten it goes like this My eyes are looking forward I’m standing straight and tall My hands are on my hip and lip I’m ready for the hallway!
Yes, I have the children walk with one hand on their hip and a finger on their lip. This keep their hands busy and a remind to have quiet lips. I hope this answers your question.
Hi! Im having a little problem to keep a few of my students sitting correctly during classwork or circle time. I'm new around here do you have some technics or strategies to help me with this problem thankyou I really appreciate
I think it will definitely work for kindergarten and first grade. You can try it with the older children and see it they respond to it. Let me know if you have any success.

Great obedience training. These kids will be good workers.
Love chants, especially ones that mean less shouting and are very predictable.

At my church on Sunday mornings and Tuesday mornings use a colored rope for the kids. Some of the older classes partner up and hold hands

Do the kids walk in the hallway with hands on lips and hips or only in the classroom as getting ready to line up before exiting?

Do you think it works for kindergarten through 5th grade. I am an assistant to an after school program.
