That figure looks soooooooooooooo much better now you did repaint it Olha !! This is just night and day difference, looks just amazing. I love the dry brushing on the hair, makes it more realistic. Stunning job as always, and like every time I did absolutely enjoy watching the video and seeing the progress !!
I used to be too nervous to embark on these repairs. Just removing the figure head would have been too much! Thanks to your video series I am much more willing to give it a go. Thank You!!
I admire all of your work and craftsmanship! I also have to commend your patience on cutting that figure off! It looks like it took a long time and patience ! 🙏🙏
The work looks amazing. Question: Does anyone ever paint their ships to look like it's an actual working ship, one that shows wear and tear, and basically looks like it's been at sea for six months? Thanks again.
This is not a working fishing boat, this is a ship that represents the face of the Royal Navy! Nothing like: dirt, dust, scuffs, scratches, stains, especially peeling paint could not be on ships. Ships were maintened even at sea, especially war ships. If there be peeling paint somewhere or something like that - someone's head will fly off their shoulders in an instant. Therefore, all these UA-cam channels where modelers imitate "wear and tear" are historically a big mistake. The decks were rubbed with the juice of special plants (at the moment the name flew out of my head) so that the planks were light yellow or sometimes almost white in color...
Hello from the Netherlands Dear Olha, What brand of brush do you use? Is it Kolinsky with real marter hair? I also use this type of brush and I think they are the best. Greatings from your Dutch friend Gerard

Hello Gerard
I bought a set of 10 brushes on Amazon for $12. For my tasks, they do their job))))
👍👍👍👍👍😺
Will the restored model be on public display ? Even for a show or event?
This model belongs to a private owner and will go home as soon as I finish it!
It can only be seen in my workshop while I'm working on it...
👍🎨 )))
👍💖👍💕👍🎁

La figure de proue n'est pas belle.
