Fender American Original Series Strat & Tele

- Hey guys!
Here's our ninth episode from our 'Focus on Sound' series here at Regent Sounds, where we got our hands on the beautiful '60s Strat and Tele from Fender's 2018 American Original Series. These guitars not only sound and play beautifully, but we feel the aesthetic was spot on. The high-gloss nitrocellulose finishes, immersive 3-tone sunburst on the Strat, and the double-bound Tele body made for two very classy looking guitars, indeed. We ran the guitars into a Fender '57 Custom Pro, and a Vox AC30S1 amp, and mic'd these up with the usual V7 series dynamics from sE Electronics, together with some room signal from a matched pair of sE 5 mics. As always, please plug in your favourite headphones or speakers, and turn it up, to get a taster of the tones we were hearing in the room!

Thank you so much! They're honestly both brilliant, but different. Personally, my pick would be for the American Pro, for comfort and the superbly polished-sounding V-Mod pickups. I even bought a set and stuck 'em in my Strat. Those guitars are meticulously made!
Adam, I had heard that these guitars don't have the proper nitro finish where it will age like a vintage strat. Is that true?
Hey Phillip! I don't think that's true. It is quite a thick lacquer, but it's definitely a real nitro finish!
6:27, I think that Tele would have sustained until this current date if he hadn't stopped it
The Strat for me...Neck...tick. Pickups...tick. Nitro finish...tick. Truss rod adjustment with the guitar in bits...hmmm. Still stopping me making that plunge.
Adam was REALLY cool. The other guy has some serious issues. I didnt appreciate the way he treated Adam. Adam was just free and happy and secure with himself. That other dude looks disturbed. And jealous of Adam.
