Jobs were lost, but jobs and entire industries have been created around those advancements. I believe in the future, robotics is going to do a lot of jobs that people don’t want to do. Robotics has already replaced people on certain parts of the production of autos. The trade-off is less jobs for people, but they are jobs people would rather not do anyway. In summary, as does most things in economics, it will work itself out in the end.
Though when we are shading how lazy people would turn out and how the world would change with the rise of A.I,we tend to forget that right now we are living in such a world.
