  • On the weekend of Sept. 17th-18th, 2022, a group event was organized by our resident “Softroader Run” organizer, Dawn Tyacke. We had a team of 4WDABC reps on board to assist and several members signed up for the limited spaces available.
Together, the group went on a two day, 700+ kilometre trip through southwestern BC, travelling the Hurley Pass, visiting Bralorne,
Gold Bridge, camping and enjoying each other's company at Gun Creek on Carpenter Lake, seeing the Terzaghi Dam and finishing in Lillooet at The Old Bridge. Then some went home via the Fraser Canyon while a few hiked to the Seton Lookout and then took the Duffy Lake Rd. home.
What a spectacular part of the province and a
    very memorable weekend.

Great video. Brought back memories of many years ago. I came over from Nanaimo when I was a member of the Sidewinders and met up with some members of the Lionsgaters at Marshall Lake. We explored some of the old jade roads and ended up near the top of one of the area peaks. Even stopped by the Tyax Lodge..

I did try! The businesses we visited got a heads up and we monitored for commercial traffic when we were near the dam so we didn't get in anybody's way. I'm always up for feedback though, doing my best to Tread Lightly and shop local. Every run has room for improvement, I didn't know the museum in Bralorne had moved or that it would be open on the weekend for one thing! Next time we'll make more time for that as well.
