- A spectacular ride with my brother from his place in Surrey, to Whistler, and Pemberton. At Pemberton we went to D'Arcy, then got on the Highline road to Seton Portage. From Seton Portage we went to Terzaghi Dam and Lillooet.
Great, scenic trip. Beautiful country town setting. Made famous by BC Rail years ago.
I drove a Sterling flat deck hiab truck on the portion from Lillooet past Terzaghi Dam, on Carpenter Lake, up to a Telus radio site on top of Mission Mountain. Twice. Beautiful scenery...
Awesome, thanks! Planning on this ride for this Saturday :))
I've been lucky enough to do this ride but on a horse :) took days but man it was amazing!
It was a beautiful ride, it was special for me as my Grandfather was born in Seton Portage in 1899.
What a great ride this is! Thanks Greg for the ride and the video!
I did it in a 97 caravan
i drank in that pub, and travel those rds yrs ago. now planning a trip. you should post little information eg. what lake, traveling time, names of small place, etc. thks
Thanks for the input, I will be sure to do that......
Really nice ride. How rough was that road? Okay for a big touring Harley?
Keep in mind this trip was a few years back, climbing out of D'Arcy you would want a bike with some clearance, once that is done the rest of the road is well graded gravel - so if you are okay with gravel the road should be fine.
im doing this trip tomorrow in my camper van wish me luck!!!
Good luck, it's a nice trip!
Nice video! How hard is this route for a road biased bike?
Its been a while since I have been over the road - but based on this trip, I would say 95% of it would be fine on a road biased bike - the most challenging section was climbing out of D'Arcy, and that was it......
How did you get this route on Google maps? Been trying to map it out and can't seem to figure it out
Just put in Highline Road in the search bar and it should take you to it - it puts the marker bubble just north of D'Arcy beside Anderson Lake.
hey!! that's where I live!! small world!! Well Shalalth is beside Seton Portage, they are part of the same community :D
My Grandfather was born in Seton Portage in 1899, so it was interesting going through there on a ride
@@gregcctrn wow that's cool!! Ever stay over night in Seton?
hey I live in grande prairie alberta, im planning to live in seton portage, , hows the place?
I've lived here off and on all my life !! So I personally think this place is great .. depends if you love the outdoors .. swimming in the summer and hiking fishing hunting**
@@strayviolets I love hiking and swimming in the summer,, this summer I will make a plan to live in seton portage highline restaurant my friend owns that he wants me to live there, I want something new,
Have you posted a video on your image stabilization setup?
Rob Roberts I thought about doing a video that shows how I stabilize. I use a 3-axis gimbal mounted on my helmet. I do not do any stabilizing in post all my post production is purely color grading and editing the shots together.
Greg, I will assume this is a well serviced albeit gravel road.. Ok for my intrepid Honda Civic.. Thank you in advance
Cdntrvler54 Except for a couple of spots one could do this in a front wheel drive car.
I see you're going fast but could leave subtitles up a little longer?
Agreed, I could have left them up about twice as long as I did.......it's really an ongoing learning process, thanks for the feedback!
I can't believe you took that road, but don't want to ride the gravel roads on the flat lands. Maybe you new bike will have you feeling more confident.
