This was an amazing review, beautiful, and I’m so intrigued now to try more oils! Your descriptions are so helpful and descriptive and you did amazing with the non-edited video format (not surprisingly). Sending you all the love and hugs on this fabulous Monday!!!💙💙💙
Dearest Joss, thank you so much! It's amazing to me how many words I DON'T mean come out of my face when I'm filming a video. So many contradictions that are caused just by saying a word that is not the word I meant. But you get me, anyway, and I appreciate that so much! I adore you. xo
Yes totally agree, oils are longevity not projection. I've only tried the body shop ones and I had to use a lot before anyone else could smell them. Good idea to put them in moisturisers, hair and diffusers.
Hey birthday girl. Well, i guess it was a whole day ago now! Still...YAY! These oils are wonderful. They take some time to get used to, but they really do the trick for most things. :)
Hi My Fragrance Trail. Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to leave a comment - comments are my favourite. :) Also, I just subscribed to YOU! :)
Great review Julija ❤️. I agree that holding Xerjoff in your hands is an experience. I am really tempted to get FB Vanille even though it smells similar to Lira 😍
Thank you, lovely Emy. Have you smelled Vanille? Let me send you some if you haven't. I didn't have the presence of mind to say it in this unedited video (which was wayyyyyy harder than I thought it would be!), and I'm sure you know this already, but they ARE different, and having both isn't a stretch.
Finally a comparison of Alexandria Chocolate Dream and Xerjoff Lira. I've gotten a sample of Chocolate Dream and I adore it. I totally get a strong chocolate note along with the vanilla and the citrus. I'm trying to get a sample of Lira before I make a full bottle purchase decision, but I think I'd prefer Chocolate Dream because of that extra chocolate note you. I've tried D&G Devotion, and it's too lemony for me. I'm afraid Lira will also be too lemony. Thank you so much for your review. Sooo helpful.
Hi Vicky. I'm so sorry it took me so long to respond to this. I was on a break, but I'm back now. Chocolate Dream is a stunner. I have to say, though, that if Devotion is too lemony for you (and I agree, it is lemony!), you might still love Lira. Yes to a sample of Lira for sure. The Oil Perfumery version is a great way to test fragrances because they're so versatile and inexpensive. (FYI I have no affiliation with OP in any way - I just love their stuff and think it's a genius way to test fragrances). Thanks so much for your kind words and for hanging out with me!
Yayyy I love this in depth review!! I love my Oil Perfumery! And I adore oil fragrances in general, the way they diffuse is so appealing to me. My husband is obsessed with the Lira and Oud Bouquet OPs! They smell amazing on him.
Oil fragrances took me some time to get used to, but they are amazing in their own right, for sure! I have the OP versions of both of those scents. Now I know what your hubby smells like. Neener Neener!
Oil Perfumery is great! I have oils to enhance the performance ( of Jo Malone wood sage and sea salt, pomegranate noire) and also to try out pricey scents that I’m not sure about. I really think I will always buy from oil Perfumery bc I enjoy having the scents I live in oil form bc as you pointed out, they are so versatile!! Great video my lovely scent sister!! 💕
Lovely. Lynda. Lyons. You are always here to make me smile, and I am ALWAYS going to be indebted to you for that. The Oil Perfumery version of Pomegranate Noir was in the first order I ever placed. I could NOT figure that one out for a long time. And now, when fall rolls around, it is THE ONE. I use them exactly the same way - as samples, to augment scents I have that don't perform, to scent the house and my hair. They really do a lot! xoxo
Thorough review!!! I feel the same with the Alexandria dupe not similar in opening But the base is exact and the dupe is stronger Lira is short lived on me, best review I’ve ever seen in Lira and the oil perfumery ❤️☺️✨😉
Thank you so much! Everything you said about the Alexandria one in your video is 100% true. I love it SO MUCH. I NEED all of these. They are all similar, but they all do something different to and for me, and that's why I did the video. Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to hang out with me and to comment! You're the BEST!
I'm very much a xerjoff novice only own one but lira does sound gorgeous and inspired by have come along way , I can't tell your love for oil perfumery it's written all over your face , Wonderful video Julija😻
Sweet Sir Scott! Thank you for being here. Lira IS gorgeous. I forgot to describe it in this video (because this unedited thing SUCKS for me!), but it's really a warm, sweet (but not at ALL too sweet), citrus and caramel DREAM that I have reached for and enjoyed in EVERY season. If I had to pick the season it's best for, I don't think I could. It's just wonderful! Just like YOU! Thank you for your unending support and kindness, Scott. I'm so happy to have you as my scent sibling! xo

Hi Christie O! I hope you're well! THANK YOU for subscribing!!! What an honour it is to me! I think that OP oils are the PERFECT option for someone who suffers from asthma! (I'm sorry you have to deal with that!) Thanks for hanging out with me. Let me know if you do decide to try the oils and which ones you try. I'm so CURIOUS!!! (And really, THANK YOU, Christie, for your comment. It just means the whole world to me to think that you're going to spend your valuable time hanging out with me. Eeeee!)
What a wonderful review and comparison. I will definitely be ordering some oils from Oil Perfumery. I haven't been able to even test any of these niche fragrances since I live in a small town with only a Shopper's Drug Mart. (You know how that is!) This will be a great way to at least get an idea of the fragrances! Thanks so much beautiful Julija! xx
Hi Amber Moon! Yay! It's YOU! I love it when you're here with me! Thank you so much! (Okay, no more exclamation points in this message!) Thank you for your kind words. We only have a Shopper's too! The closest The Bay store is four hours away. So these Oil Perfumeries have saved me a lot of blind-buy regret. I still blind-buy, of course, but these really, REALLY help. Let me know if you do try them. I MUST know what you think!!! :)
I recently got some oil perfumeries…. Lira was one of them! Thanks for the recommendation! It’s great..I really love it. . I also got hypnotic poison (also very good and close to original), Lost cherry and Delina (still need more time with this one). I’m still learning how to use them. I have heard you speak of using in your vacuum. What part do you put it on? It’s sounds like it would make the experience more enjoyable and I’m all for that!
Hello, Maria O! I'm so happy to have you here!!! I LOVE knowing we have Lira in common. YAY! The others sound wonderful, too. Delina is for sure one that might require some extra time. Did you get the original or the Exclusif? Some people prefer one over the other either way. The whole idea of a perfume oil takes time to get used to for sure. We're so used to scents that project because of the alcohol. The vacuum thing is my FAVOURITE way to use them. Just take the cap off (it can be done with a cloth and some elbow grease, although I just use a knife - I have a video on that...) and put just a couple drops right into the fan part. You don't have to do it every time you vacuum. The scent stays. I'm pretty sure I show it in the "How Do You Use Your Perfume Oils" video. Did I mention I LOVE HAVING YOU HERE???!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to hang out with me and to comment and ask questions. Today is the second day in a row that YOU, Maria O, have really made my day. :) xoxooox
@@ScentSiblingsDotCA Oh great I will have to check out that video ! I got the original Delina oil, I haven’t tried the Exclusif yet. Thanks so much for your response! 💗💗💗 I enjoy your videos and personality. They bring some fun and happiness to my day. 😁
Was an interesting comparison, I've not tried the Xerjoff I don't think but it sounds pleasant. I haven't really dabbled much into the world of oils so it's all interesting to hear about how they are on folks. Thank you for a lovely video as ever
I think oils would be something you might enjoy as they aren't 'beastly' as it were. They're kind of more for one's own personal enjoyment. I think you'd like them. Thank YOU for a lovely comment and the lovely support, as ever.
I always love your unedited vide, it always feel like we are meeting and sharing our fragrant discoveries.😍 There is two other that you already must know that is in the same scent profile Tendre Madeleine and Coockie Crunch. Maybe you soon will be the official expert of Lira look alike fragrances? 😜
Amandine, you are so amazing to me! Thank you. These videos make me CRINGE!! But I'm glad you enjoy them. Tendre Madeleine and Cookie Crunch have been added to my list!!! I SHALL be the expert of the...wait for it...LIRA-LIKES! That was supposed to be the title of this video, and I racked my brain trying to remember it while I was doing the thumbnail, and it wouldn't come to me! It wasn't until I read your comment that I remembered. MERCI!!! xoxox
I’m always late to the game when it comes to owning a very talked about perfume ,the oils sound like such a great option for people who don’t want to splurge on the Zerjof !! But WOW THE Bottle
The oils are the BEST way to try a fragrance before you buy, in my (not so humble) opinion. I would NEVER have sprung for the OG, but the OP smells SOOOOOOOO good, and so similar, I HAD to give Xerjoff my money!
Hi Jim. The grey market fascinates me. I filmed a thing on it - just my musings. Maybe I'll post it to see if other people feel the same way about it as I do. Thank you for your kind words! I really do love Lira, too. I totally forgot to DESCRIBE it in this video (duh!), but I really do love it for allllll the reasons and alllllll the seasons. xo
Julija!!! Girl… I kind of feel like you do reviews! 😛 This was wonderful and you were beaming. I think you may have convinced me to get the OP scents to use in a diffuser… I might want my whole house to smell like some of my favourite scents. You’ll have to tell me how to put them in my vacuum though 🤷🏼 I only know how Lira smells because of you! That’s love right there. ♥️ I am wishing you an amazing day!! ✌🏽🧜🏻♂️♥️
Hi Richard! Thank you so much for being here. I kinda feel like I "do" reviews, but I f*ck up a lot of words and end up sounding like I'm contradicting myself, when really I just don't know how to use words! I'm going to send you little decants of the oils to put in your diffuser so you can sing the praises of the Oil Perfumery, too!!! A couple drops of the oil goes right where the fan/filter part of the vacuum is. :) I love you!
Now serving fabulously unedited Julija! ❤️ This has me wanting to try oil perfumery even more. I used your oil + unscented lotion technique with another brand and it was amazing. I feel like oils give a linear yet “true” scent. With alcohol-based perfumes, it seems like there is much more variation in the way the scent behaves and which notes come out. Question: Do you get debris/particles inside the rollerball after a while? Others on this platform have shown some funky rollerballs that don’t look pleasant after continued contact with skin. These were the standard travel ones filled with liquid alcohol based perfumes, not the oil perfumery brand. Hope the rest of your Sunday was content and peaceful. What did you and Ryan cook? 👩🍳 💞👨🍳 I adore vegan cooking and totally understand the dish thing. I’m a mise en place type and clean along the way. 😉 The dishes are constantly being cleaned. Hope to see more of you this week. 📺 🎥 📸
Melissa, you're bang on. Whilst filming I'd forgotten that the word "linear" existed. This video is actually just a study in how many times a person can contradict oneself without even knowing it. I said so many things, and then contradicted myself because the wrong word came out of my mouth. And I never, not even ONCE, hinted at HOW the scents all smell. Not ONE mention of the fact that they are all lovely, warm and captivating caramel scents with delicious and not-too-sweet caramel and vanilla to make them simultaneously rich and sweet yet fresh and zingy with the citrus at the top. TEAM EDIT! TEAM EDIT! With the oils, there is no debris, but I'm TOTALLY familiar with the phenomenon of the grossness in the perfume rollerball. ew! i think it has to do with the alcohol grabbing on to whatever oil is on your skin at the time of application. Oil sticks to alcohol (as it were), but not to other oil, so these do NOT have that issue at all. What a great question/concern! We made the following for the week ahead and for the meal that night: (for us and for our neighbours and for a friend who was under the weather and didn't want to cook for her family): - smoked chicken wings - gnudi (gnocchi made with ricotta instead of potato) - tomato sauce - vegetable soup - pineapple coconut cheese cake - smoked pork belly burnt ends - smoked sausages - peanut butter power balls :)
@@ScentSiblingsDotCA Julija, That’s so funny. 😂 I never thought about your video that I way. I watch because of the wonderful community and personalities that shine. ✨🤍✨ No one is being that critical. Fragrance should be fun and so should your filming. 🙂 Thanks for the oil perfumery info. I’ll definitely feel more confident ordering and using them. Do you just want to try them all? What a tremendous day in the kitchen. I appreciate your generosity and kindness. We need more of that in the world. There’s several things I would definitely want to veganize - they sound delish. Tropical cheesecake, energy balls….. 😊 ❤️ Hope you’re having a great week
Yvonne! You're so sweet! Thank you for all your kind words and your comments and the time you're taking to be with me! Have you tried the Chocolate Dream from Alexandria? Girl, I'm telling you - it's THE BOMB DOT COM. It's Lira, but more chocolatey. Other people make these unedited videos look so easy, but it's just so STRESSFUL! I have been doing more of this kind of thing, though, because to be completely truthful, the time one saves not editing is SO WORTH the stress.
@@ScentSiblingsDotCA I just googled Alexandia Fragrances. I know you can not get it in Germany, but I found it in the UK and it costs so little (15 £). I will give it a try, thank you for recommending 🥰
Dishes are my nemesis! 😂 Problem is, I love to cook! 🤦🏾♀️ Anyway, thanks for the comparison, I haven’t heard of the 3rd one you mentioned. Vanilla/caramel and citrus is always a beautiful combo 👍🏾🥰💃🏾
Dishes and cooking, they just go together. I don't mind doing the dishes as I go along (which is the only way, if you ask me). It makes the final tidy almost negligible. The Alexandria Chocolate Dream is a MUST HAVE for me. It's so incredible! And Ryan loves to wear it. I just adore it!
Hi Sophie. I love the sweet dry down of Lira too! And I agree: the longevity is there, but it does wear closer to the body. It's such a lovely scent, and it's so perfect for almost any time of year (other than the high heat). Thanks so much for your comment and for taking the time to hang out with me today!!
@@ScentSiblingsDotCA I think it’s such a well known and well blended fragrance, that it can be mislabelled as being bland! It’s such a shame, it’s sophisticated and approachable. Bella!
Oil perfumery is awesome I just placed an order 💗 I had a decant of Lira and it’s almost gone, I feel like I need a little bottle of this one, for that fragrant progression plus the OP version just for the longevity✨ this was so thorough and super helpful Julija! PS you rule amazing non edited Vid 😎
Right?! Which ones did you get? I think your combo of Lira and By the Fireplace is KILLER! I wore it once (just to see) and I loved it! Thanks for your kind words, my beautiful friend. There's just NO WAY I could do this often, though. Did you HEAR/SEE all the mistakes/contradictions in this video? So embarrassing!!! But thank you, anyway.
@@ScentSiblingsDotCA Julija, this made perfect sense, I didn’t notice any contradictions at all! I ordered an op roller of Lira, haven’t placed an order for lira and I’m happy about that because I’m lookin at the Boclet Vanille samply samp you sent me, and it’s gorgeous 😍 I think I might even like it better than lira 😱 😆
I haven't seen Demi's video, but I'm glad she loves "our" fragrance. I think she loves cardamom, which is one of my favourite notes, too. Love YOU, MY Canadian sister!!!
I think I am, too, Mira. It IS similar to Lira, but it is its own thing, too. I wish I'd thought to say that it is in no way a dupe. I think of these things after. :( Thank you for being here with me!!!
Hello Erricia! I really hope that you'll forgive me if I pronounced your name wrong. I'm so glad you're here. I hope this helped. I want to hear EVERYTHING about your oil perfumery oils. They take some time to get used to, AND, sometimes they need to sit before they smell good. I had to let a few of them just sit for a few weeks because they were NO BUENO when I first got them. Please ask any and all questions when you get them. Eeeee! i can't wait for you to try them!!!
@@ScentSiblingsDotCA hey! You pronounced my name very well no worries. I’ve tried their Love don’t be shy by Killian and Flower bomb as well as Delina Exclusif inspirations and yes I definitely had to let them sit for a bit because they smelt really odious initially. I’m sure I’ll like their Lira inspiration as well especially after how lovely you made it sound, but I’ll be sure you let you know. Thanks 🤗
@@ewest005 Erricia, I'm so, so relieved and happy to hear that!! I love having scents in common. HURRAH! Thank you so much for the idea for this video and for letting me know that you love the OP version, too! You've made my day! YAY! xo
Interesting review even though I’m not in the market for this one… I own Jo Malone’s Wood sage and sea salt and it lacks in performance so I always layer it with your technique of the Oil Perfumery version of it + unscented body lotion, It lasts all day! 🥰😉 Have a great week beautiful! ☀️
Hi Julie. Thank you so much for being here. You are so good to me! I know you're not interested in the Lira-likes (that was the name I had initially planned for this video, but get this: I couldn't remember it when I was making the thumbnail! DUH!), but you're here anyway. In this video the word "oil" came out of my face instead of "lotion" when I was talking about the lotion trick. GRRRR! Non-edited videos are NOT my jam! I hope you're having a beautiful week, my beautiful friend! xo
Hi AnoniemAmsterdam. That's a great question! I haven't had the desire to try them, to be completely honest. I've heard amazing things about them, though. At the end of the day, for me personally, I'm not looking for a dupe as much as I'm looking to try the fragrance before spending the money. Although the Oakcha fragrances are WAY LESS expensive than their original counterparts, they are still WAY MORE expensive that the oils. I love the oils because they're so versatile, too. So if I don't like the fragrance, I can use the oil for other things. If I don't like the perfume, then I have a dupe perfume for which I've paid almost $100 that I can't do anything with. They do sound amazing, though!! Have you tried them? Do you love them? Thanks for taking the time to leave this great comment. I appreciate it!!
@@ScentSiblingsDotCA yes I tried one fragrance with Oakcha: Morning Rain, the dupe for Gypsy water. It smells exactly the same as the OilPerfumery oil and the original. Difference is that the spray has more projection in the beginning. And I just love the sensation of a spray more than the oil. Its lovely to combine. Just hate that the Oakcha sprays are so expansive to get to europe with the taxes. And the bottles are only 30ml. But it really is good. Iam now looking for an European counterpart. I Ordered samples at KDJ inspired. They also have 100ml bottles. I tried other dupe suppliers in the past: cocomora, divain and perfume parlour. And no they were terrible. Hope KDJ is good or else iam afraid I still have to order with (overpriced) Oakcha.
@@kimberly38amsterdam Have you tried Dua? Or Alexandria? I have only smelled one of each, but people say they're good. You're 100% right about the feel of the sprayer - I would always choose a spray over an oil for sure. For the purpose of using the oil as a tester, and then in the vacuum or the diffuser, for a FRACTION of the cost of the spray, it's worth it to me. I feel your pain about the whole shipping cost. There are shoe companies in the States that carry my size in shoes (45!), but they won't ship to Canada. And they won't take my Canadian credit card. Grrrr.
@@ScentSiblingsDotCA I never tried DUA or Alexandria. But the prices are even higher than Oakcha. I received my simples from KDJ inspired. And although the dupes are not bad, they are a bit too sweet and not as good as Oakcha. Maybe I will try DUA also.
Hi Sarah! That's EXACTLY what I'm saying. I do a LOT of dishes, and I have to say that in the distant past I think I did used to prefer wearing gloves, and then somehow I forgot such a thing existed? I loved gloves because you can withstand super hot water, and somehow that makes the dishes cleaner? Thanks for reminding me that I should revisit the ultra-glam house-only accessory! :) I hope you're well. Thanks for hanging out with me, Sarah! :) xoxoxo
@@ScentSiblingsDotCA The best gloves are Casa Bella. Life changing! They are long and have cuffs you can turn up. And yes it’s the super hot water you can use with gloves that is great, and also you don’t have to touch anything gloopy. 😬🤪💦

I paid full retail for PDM Herod because that was also before I knew about the grey market. 😬 Loved the review and love Lira!
Hi Jim. The grey market fascinates me. I filmed a thing on it - just my musings. Maybe I'll post it to see if other people feel the same way about it as I do. Thank you for your kind words! I really do love Lira, too. I totally forgot to DESCRIBE it in this video (duh!), but I really do love it for allllll the reasons and alllllll the seasons. xo
Thank you 😊
We made the following for the week ahead and for the meal that night: (for us and for our neighbours and for a friend who was under the weather and didn't want to cook for her family):
- smoked chicken wings
- gnudi (gnocchi made with ricotta instead of potato)
- tomato sauce
- vegetable soup
- pineapple coconut cheese cake
- smoked pork belly burnt ends
- smoked sausages
- peanut butter power balls
:)
@@ScentSiblingsDotCA Julija, That’s so funny. 😂 I never thought about your video that I way. I watch because of the wonderful community and personalities that shine. ✨🤍✨ No one is being that critical. Fragrance should be fun and so should your filming. 🙂
Thanks for the oil perfumery info.
Hope you’re having a great week
I love Lira too, but the performance on me is not as good as I wish. … the video was fun to watch, please do some more unedited ones 💞
@@yvonnep.2586 Yay! I'm so excited. I 100% GUARANTEE you will love it! If you don't, I'll pay you for it! That's a promise.
Dishes are my nemesis! 😂
Problem is, I love to cook! 🤦🏾♀️
Anyway, thanks for the comparison, I haven’t heard of the 3rd one you mentioned.
What a great video and comparison!
Loved the background ❤❤❤😘
Hi Souad. Thank you so much! I love the background, too. All my bottle babies there for support. :p
With Lira, there is a really juicy cotton candy in the dry down - I love it! Longevity is great but it wears close to the body.
Did you happen to see Demi raulings video about Yes I am and how much she loves it
Love you my Canadian sister 🤩💗🤩
I haven't seen Demi's video, but I'm glad she loves "our" fragrance. I think she loves cardamom, which is one of my favourite notes, too. Love YOU, MY Canadian sister!!!
I'm obsessed with Franck Boclet Vanille 😜😁❤❤
I think I am, too, Mira. It IS similar to Lira, but it is its own thing, too. I wish I'd thought to say that it is in no way a dupe. I think of these things after. :( Thank you for being here with me!!!
@@ScentSiblingsDotCA I only had decants of Lira, I'll buy a full bottle eventually 😊 but I must say I love Oil Perfumery, I use my oils every day 🙂😉😘
Thanks love! I ordered my oil perfumery last week 😄 hopefully it arrives by this weekend
Thanks 🤗
ODIOUS! Great word!!! The Love Don't Be Shy is in my next order from OP. :)
@@ScentSiblingsDotCA Lira is absolutely fabulous! One of my faves for sure. :)
Which unscented bodylotion do you use? I still havent one that is scent free. Thanks :)
@@kimberly38amsterdam Lubriderm. No scent at all.
@@julieg_quebec-julesselivre8641 thanks
I hope you're having a beautiful week, my beautiful friend! xo
Good morning my sunshine ☀️
Speaking of sunshine, IT'S YOU!!!!! Hello, lovely Frances! I hope you're well!!!
Here watching!☺️❤️
Hi, Sunny! Thank you so much for being here! xo
What do you think of Oakcha? The sistercompany with the spray bottle version.
Julia, ( sorry, forget how to spell your name) are you saying you don’t wear gloves when you do the dishes?! 😳
Cooking is doing the dishes! 😂😂
It really, REALLY is. And I love it! And I love YOU!
