Mile repeats are the way to go according to Daniels. MD in exercise physiology. Great vo2 max workoit. Huddle got about 21 min of vo2 max training. Irregardless of whether or not she rested 2 min brtween repeats.
You just won the 10k Nationals so I'm not knocking BUT WHY do you live in one of the hottest places in America? How many more quality reps could you do if it were a reasonable temperature? I know it's morning but it's already 90 some mornings by 9am! Come to San Diego where you can train either on the coast or inland 365. Great form!
The 90 degree weather builds a different type of strength and fitness. If she can do this in hot as weather, when she races somewhere cooler it will feel easier.
What the need of working with 4:56 Peace.. She obviously is not gonna run that fast on marathon ..if I was her coach I would tell her to put on more miles per week.. I am talking about hundred plus miles a week and work with 5:30 peace.. Molly is good but her workout ain't
It's easy to get stuck in a certain pace and high mileage for marathon training. It's important to stimulate your fast twitch and do some type of speedwork even as a marathon runner. Otherwise you get stuck at a neuromuscular level.
This would be around her Anaerobic Threshold Pace. The 3 most important paces to run are Aerobic Threshold (about Marathon pace), Anaerobic threshold (about 15k pace), and VO2 pace (roughly 3k pace).
Music is too loud, voices are too quiet - I can hardly hear what they are saying.
Watched her in NYC marathon also this year. She is the real deal! Going to see a lot more of her
Fire the audio guy.
Music is on point with how elite she is!
That's awesome. I'm going to start doing more mile repeats, maybe working my way up to 7 too, though not at a sub-5 pace!
She is fast af I can barely do 1 mile at that pace
3:14 - "Damn Girl!"
A your awesome! Good luck to you and your ventures!!

That dude looks like he's jogging at 5:00 pace. The best I can even do is 5:11 😂😭
@Jawan T Who hurt you?
@Jawan T Wow, what a shit time. I run two miles in 9:07 now.
Was this on a measured mile segment or using GPS for the mile distance?
My long distance idol. ♥️
Amazing she can talk after running a 4:46 mile. Unreal!! lol You could tell she was tired.
How do you manage to run so fast
How much time in between miles?

I could run a mile at that pace... but if I waited 2 min and ran another one I’d be lucky if I hit a sub 6 min mile 😭
I can barely do one sub 5 mile I can't imagine cranking out 7 of those
holy fast
im dead after a 4:47 on a track lmao
This is great, I guess. Now if she can just train to run 5 to 10 meters PAST the finish line before she eases up.
bg music is not intense enough
Had to break out the nasal strips for a workout
Go Cubs haha
Editing ruined this video...
Unbearable music !!!! Such a shame ! Molly is such a great athlete !
ぽらーる
Better throw some 400/800 repeats in there if you are going to beat Jenny in the last 200m.
Running on a public street with traffic ? HHmm
