The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

Have a great day!
LOVE IT!
I Love It ❤
Great harmony!
Multitalented. 🙂
Snappy! ☺️💜
Interesting but it seems to be part of a longer segment which may have told a story of sorts. The opening reminds me of a successful novelty record by the Four Preps called "More Money for You and Me" in which they imitated several popular vocal groups of the day. The Preps performed this on Sullivan and I'd love to see it, along with the other Preps appearances. I would also love to see other similar groups like the Four Coins and the Four Lads who haven't been posted yet either, along with more footage of the Four Aces and the Lettermen.
I also thought that there would be more. Perhaps their segment was cut down due to the show running over as it sometimes did.
@@andrewm5402 They usually don't show entire segments when uploading videos (although it's great when they do) and cut them up into multiple videos instead, so it's possible more of this performance might show up another time.
More Rosemary Clooney !!!!
All you history buffs, beware:
The group used the name of a certain Texas city. And this performance was taped exactly 2 months before.... see where I'm going here? 😂❤
🌹
The Dallas Boys were not from Dallas, they were from England!
So this was the true beginning of the British Invasion, then? Lol
@@celticprideisstillalive8766 🤣...you nailed it! LOL
@@celticprideisstillalive8766 Yes, the Dallas Boys were on the Ed Sullivan Show 5 months before the Beatles
