@@genejones7124 They're not on shop duty. They have other jobs, like guarding the gate, guarding Ed, sniffing at things, lounging around, begging Ed for extra food, and bothering visitors for pats.
Also, Max can't be trusted on recoveries because he's a bad boy and escapes and has adventures.
One of the things I like the best about this youtube channel is how people grow in the shop. If you go back and look at the videos of when they first came on to now it is amazing Thanks to Matt, and his family and and their ways of teaching without preaching, they pick up life skills not just job skills. So cool seeing Kaulin, Rhett and sometimes Katelyn, out doing recoveries on their own now. Very important and I bet they all go on to be successful in whatever they decide to do. Wish we could see more of Katelyn off-roading...that girl has skills way beyond her years.
I used to work in an Audiology clinic and learned that Hearing loss, especially age related, usually starts with the higher frequency range before it works it's way down. So when speaking to Ed, just lower the pitch of your voice and speak as deep and comfortably as you can without shouting. Try to speak as you normally do in a deeper tone and he should be able to make out what you're saying easier. Sometimes speaking louder makes it harder for those with hearing loss to understand anything you're saying general. Hearing loss affects the hair cells in the inner ear which convert sound vibrations into electrical signals which is sent to the brain and interpreted as sound. Speaking at a normal level is much better for Ed and won't further any damage his hearing. Hope this helps!

My mom has hearing aids. She has a hard time hearing lower frequencies. My grandfather was losing his hearing but it was on the higher frequency side. My mom was born with hearing problems and my grandfather was an autobody mechanic. I'm sure hearing loss differs depending on type and exposeure to sounds.
You'd be surprised how poor even super expensive hearing aids work for conversations, especially if there is any background noise. I have the newest best hearing aids with the newest best algorithms, and they are marginally effective.

I know everyone deserves their flowers, but I want to shout out Jake and Colby on this one. You boys haven't been around super long on this channel, but now, I couldn't imagine MORR without both of you. And I love that Matt gave you both corvairs, that's like the ultimate "invitation to the family".
Jake. You're like the ultimate hypeman. It doesn't matter what's going on, once you get excited, I get excited too! 😂. I'll admit I was a little skeptical at first, but man, you have grown on me the fastest. I can see the vast amounts of knowledge you've already obtained while working with MORR, and how comfortable you've become on camera. You're doing great! And I can't wait to see how things go from here!
Colby. I know typically you're more often behind the camera than in front of it, but your camera work is great, and your drone skills are pretty sick too, and that's just as important as being a top fabricator when you're uploading it all. Don't get me wrong, you're great ON camera too man, but your skills are important to the team! You seem fairly knowledgeable and confident in trying new things, and that can be tough sometimes, but you kill it!
And I'm also proud of both you guys for learning to weld and work in the shop with the enthusiasm that you do! Thanks for being a huge part of MORR!

As always, the new folks to the crew take some time to grow on me. Posted above how I wasn't crazy about TomTom, but now I miss seeing him on videos.
What I love most about Matt’s of road videos is all of the amazing things they create and the creativity used to recover things. But I also enjoy the clean videos with no cursing and no dirty jokes so I can watch these with my 4 year old son with me.

My wife and I are raising my brother’s 2 boys. He was taken from us way too soon,But the Mom told us ( Which is why I will always respect her) The boys will have a life if you take them in. Well, My boys are now grown men and they love watching Matt and his Sons working hard being creative and anyone can walk into our garage and we don’t have to worry about what words are said. My boys and I always build things together we motorcycle ride, Dirt bike ride and when stuff breaks We Fix it ourselves and have a great time doing it. Very similar to the way Matt does it with his family. We feel so comfortable with this content playing in the background. Thank you Matt and Family.

Aww Jamie is so cute! Reminds me of my mom at her fruit and vegetable market in Mexico, and just feeds her workers ❤
My favorite part about Mexico is the food, so many things to eat, the fruits and vegetables with the meats and seafood, blows my mind. That and the length and rhythm of the day is much more stable. And the people! I love the USA, beautiful landscapes, but Mexico is so varied too and it melts my brain. Next I want to go to Oaxaca. Been to Baja Sur, up and down the East Coast of it, Puerto Vallarta and Yelapa, as well as Holbox on the tip of the Yucatan. Recently tried Belize, the southern and central part of the barrier reef. The reef was beautiful but the food and things left us longing for Mexico. I often think of moving to Mexico

Idk how Matt manages to always find such awesome people. Everyone someone leaves to go chase their dreams and some people get upset, I just think, Matt will find a person just as awesome so there’s no need to worry. I miss guys like Trevor and Rudy and others, but damn Jake, Colby, Katelynn, Kaulin, Rhett, and the others are all so awesome and fun to watch. Matt must just attract other great people like a magnet.

Always just an enjoyable view. Genuinely good people working on projects and having a good time while doing it..... if I was a young adult still, I'd haunt the tow yard until Matt just gave up and hired me. Good place to learn a lot of new things, laugh your butt off, and go on adventures. It's like "Where do I sign up?" Jonah and the "geek squad" are doing awesome on production too. Top notch across the board, guys. Keep up the excellent work.

Plus, recovering vehicles from any kind of terrain. Always look forward to your videos. Do you get a lot of subscribers coming thru your town wanting to see your operation? CT90 cutting and tapping compound makes the drill fly through like butter honestly when I was drilling with completely blunt drill bits it would some make them drill again 😂

Hey Matt and Crew, a tip when drilling larger holes, (5/8 up) use a piece of folded rag tween the drill bit and the job. Will, in most cases, get rid of chatter and stop the drill grabbing.

0:38 instead of some dude hanging onto the vice, rotate the vice so the body of the vice is up against the upright of the drill press. Rotational force of the drill bit will keep it in place and no one gets hurt. Work smarter not harder lads 🇦🇺🤙🏼

Lizzy's appeared at least three times on camera since her departure. The video when the Bombi cab was being taken off, the one where the Morrvair had the transfer case get swapped out, and the off-road games.
I used to get a lot of Migraines years ago, and they got progressively worse, it turned out that as I was welding a lot under a fairly low white ceiling the flash was reflecting off of the ceiling into the back of my old welding mask and thus bouncing into my eyes. Not sure what made me twig it, but I used to drape a warehouse jacket over my head, and it proved the point, much fewer migraines, so I invested in a decent helmet with a rear guard to it! I too am very hearing impaired, I have hearing aids, I also dislike them very much. Being hard of hearing from a young age around 7,8 years old, it got worse to the point I am now around 50 years ago. 20 years ago I got hearing aids, but oh my gosh, the ambient noise of everyday life was/is too much. I prefer the quiet world I am used to!
Was at the shop the other day. Dome light install on the bomby.
Possible suggestion. Put a long string of IR LEDs across the top of the windshield. It will light up the entire inside of the machine, allowing the use of IR cameras inside, and not spoil the night vision. Hook the LEDs to the headlights... or give them their own switch.

Dodge trucks of the late 90’s and early 2000’s front shocks have a 9mm hex head to remove and install them.
That made sense when you guys told me about using the Ford front end just like Paul using the whole frame on his jeep build. We had "wheel hop" on out positive traction cars. We had ladder bars they used to buy , besides looking tough. That peanut steels the scene ,great pup.
