    Nice topic.
    1) If the land, as per records, is not classified as "Agricultural land", but classified as "Dry land", is it still illegal to buy?
    2) If agriculture is done on such "Dry land", would there be trouble?

    Thanks for the video. My mother purchased a small plot in a town limits , which was land at the time of purchase but later it is converted into commercial and a shop is built on it for renting. During this process I hold OCI status and did transfer some money for this transaction. Will my mother or I be in trouble as per FEMA? Can I get this converted land into my name by partition deed or inheritance?

    I have one question related to agriculture land purchase, can any NRI wife can purchase any agricultural land if she is house wife and want to buy land by monthly savings ,
    Second question is at what stage they will consider as NRI at the time of selling or at time of purchase status.
