Great presenter and presentation, I like the relaxed and well paced speaking, not the high pitched fast pace of most reviewers who seem like a nervous chihuahua about to piss themselves from nervousness of getting paid to say a script.

67,000$ for a car in it’s self is expensive, so who in there right might would spent 10,000$ let alone 40,000$ on mods and then got out bush. Spent 3 grand buying a Gq patrol that already had a 3 Inch lift and 33s.
Electric windows and AC even worked.
4 grand later and slapped a 16g turbo and front mount intercooler with a 4 inch snorkel and 3 inch exhaust.
Less than 10 grand and even with 300k on the clock it'll outlast these from new.. and eat them on any track you could pick.
New dual cabs are all a scam.
Now I have a worked factory turbo 80 that is the same just more comfortable.

or Toyota Australia could go the route that Toyota America have gone and do a proper TRD 4x4. Like spending the time to develop suspension and other things like that, instead of Slapping some TRD badges on and SR5 and upping the price, whilst a Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro in America and Canada is cheaper than a Rugged X Hilux, $63000 for a manual Tacoma TRD Pro and $66,500 for a Rugged X manual. TRD Pro shits all over the Rugged X. Ford Performance and HSV can spend the time developing a beast 4x4 more-so Ford with the Raptor, but like fuck me I love Toyota but I hate where Toyota Australia's head is at.

Not sure a Rugged X could genuinely be considered a "stock" vehicle. With that said, a Rugged X is pretty overpriced for what you get, so I guess it goes both ways.

I am a mechanic so I deal with modern stuff every day. When I am at home I don't feel like spending all my own time and money dealing with ERG, DPF, SCR, common rails, electronics and otherwise overly complex components. Just want something simple and easy and the extra time and money can go into mods and going on trips.
And more personally I find the interiors of modern cars too cramped and the plastic makes me carsick.
Plus there aren't many options for new cars with solid front axles. I don't want a Jeep, Suzuki, Mercedes or 1VD 70 series.

I bought a sr and put slightly bigger tyres on it and straight away the fuel economy got worse by 2/3 lph and power torque lost around 15 %.
Seriously the engine and transmission in this model is a joke.
Then if you try to tow something heavier than 1.5 tonne well it gets worse.
    This model is rubbish.
Buy a landcruiser if you don’t mind a manual gearbox.
If you need a auto, chop a 200 series or buy a bt50 a Ford ranger or something else.

Ford Ranger Raptor is crap because they focused on Australia but it's of rally car Australians don't want a rally car and you're on a car that can hold around stuff and go off road the Ford Raptor Ranger is just a death trap for an Australian and plus the tires on the Ford Raptor Ranger but BF Goodrich all terrain tires which are not good because they clog up with mud and they're terrible on
