Masvidal likely did strategically to save his brand from all the negative look of him gassed out and lifelessly sobbing in the the locker room after he fell into his daddys arms when colby stole his soul at UFC 272. He knows he was dominated and humiliated by Colby. His team tried to make him feel less pathetic by telling him he came to fight and Colby came to wrestle and that there was this huge difference even though after 25 min he only got in one decent shot. Success is a hell of a drug and considering all the trash talk Colby went in on him with the promo's, fact that he is about all washed up with three losses in the world in which one of them sent him in another dimension he strategically decided to get him some of that three piece and a soda clout to try and rejuvenate his brand although he is already a draw so needed to just pretend to be humble and kill Colby with his success. Now, Colby could be traumatised, Colb's brand can take a significant hit from this as kids will be like "Oh Colby got beat up by the street Jesus and is not a real fighter not knowing the difference" Plus now Colby has to worry about other folks doing the same thing if Masvidal gets away with it. If Colby is smart he presses charges to the max so kids see not to this Jorge behavior and get's the largest payday of his life. This incident took him away from being able to fully Corinate his freshly revealed King Of Miami belt he revealed fresh off the big total domination win over Masvidal to where he had to cancel appearances on platforms like CNN so lost wages/brand stock, physical/psyche and property damages to the max. Unike normal people, celebrities of Jorge's status do not actually go to jail so getting that money is about all you can do.
