Thanks for sharing. FYI as someone that has done (pre covid era)several times the drive between Montreal and NYC/Albany, a strong suggestion. If possible always get gas/food between the regions of the US/Canada border at Champlain/Plattsburgh Interchanges and say the Glen Falls/Saratoga Springs area of NYS Capital Valley Region . The nearest gas station along the long beautiful stretch of the Adirondack Mountains is a long way from 87/The Adirondack Northway. Not to mention especially in winter, make sure your car/vehicle is in excellent shape ie properly inflated tires, etc. to handle that long stretch of driving..
