Agreed!! Shout out to Zach Orr for putting his pride aside and asking for help!! That speaks volumes💯 Let’s not forget, Mike Mac was in the exact same predicament his 1st 5 games as DC!! We gon be aight!! 🖤💜💪🏾🖤💜
@@ronedward3660you would think so but play calling is a completely different realm than playing. It’s literally chess. Hopefully he gets better at in game adjustments
it just shows you how bad he wants to win. he’s willing to admit he’s struggling and needs help instead of being ignorant like most coach’s in the league and just trying to figure it all out on his own! i like this move a lot!
Bringing in Dean Pees is a checkmate move that will elevate our defense, with as good as our offense is this move will solidify us as a superbowl contender.
No doubt bro thanks for the idea and the questions each week. We definitely can’t be letting elite wide outs kill us every time like that if that keeps happening I am concerned but at this point I’m still confident this secondary starts playing a lot better. Way too many ballers. And when we go against average or non elite wide receivers we are fine
@@TheFlockRundown true that, I guess the upside is that we still got a win but we know that type of play isn’t winning formula for playoffs. Yes we have gr8 talent, probably can argue the more talent than the past 3-4 seasons
Love this move it definitely will help Zach Orr will have someone to learn from welcome back Dean pees it been since 2017 right?? But definitely mostly need cuz if we want to make a run at the Superbowl we have to improve the defense
I would like to see more of the 3 safety looks we had last year but this defense would rather have linebackers cover elite wr for some reason. Hope they get the these guys in better situations
This is indeed a genius move. The one thing that the Ravens excel at better than any team in the NFL is their ability to develop players and Coaches. With the amount of time and energy they put into developing Brandon you will have a quality NFL defensive coordinator for years to come. Plus people will always remember where they got their start from and this allows the Raven to build within and have somebody to carry on that vaunted Ravens culture. Not to mention this also saves them a heck of a lot of money from bringing in a outside defensive coordinator.
Gotta salute Z.O for his humility. But if Humphrey didn’t play this Sunday, I wouldn’t even be that alarmed. We have guys that could fill that void but I wanna know when we’re gonna use Beau Brade. This is a rookie they want to give some playing experience to. I rather see him than eddie j at this point.
It’ll probably help some as the defense has been so bad but I’m not that excited about getting Pees. I want to stay positive but I remember Pees played prevent a lot and was nicknamed Swiss Pees for a reason.
The whole Defensive System is Dean Pees. Dean Pees plays to much prevent defense and zones Wink Martindale more aggressive with blitzes especially zero blitzes Mike MacDonald more simulated pressures out of frequent zero blitz fronts Zach Orr will be the best.. He was there for it all. Just got to get past the rough patch like Macdonald
We need these people that be on a raven page say the craziest things about your team that's a big grown man move with a grown man mind set haters on the page
Bold prediction I like it!! I wouldn’t be shocked honestly just depends how long Harbaugh stays. I could see Orr getting plucked in a few years like Mike did once this defense starts playing to their potential people will be praising the “young genius defensive mind” of Zach Orr lol
@@TheFlockRundown Agreed, Orr is going to be on the head coaching radar in a few seasons, but I think after, hopefully another long overdue Superbowl win, Harbs will retire and the Ravens FINALLY (lol) keep one of their own and make him their own head coach. On a similar note, I think Monken will be gone after this year and probably a Jets hire, but there should be about 4 to 6 head coaching openings and Monken is going to be in demand. We'll be looking for an OC...again .
Ooooooh!! That would be beautiful! I feel him being younger, along with being a former player, that he'd relate to younger players a little better. But, we need to first see how he develops as a DC, which I think will go just fine.
Defense has been up and down. Looked good against Buffalo. It took McDonald time to adjust. Everybody needs to stop doubting, criticizing and BELIEVE!! ✌️
Last Year First 5 Games: HOU/CIN/IND/CLE/PIT: Almost 2,000 yards given up on D This Year First 5 Games: KC/LV/DAL/BUF/CIN: Almost 1,700 yards given up on D Hmmm… 🤔 300 Less yards given up in the first 5 games than last year while playing more talented QB’s this year.
I love Adams but I do not want him because we don't need him. We're already #1 in yards and #2 in scoring without him. So why pay all that money for a piece we don't need? I'd also like to point out that no team in the last 10+ years has won a SB with a WR1 making top of the market money. Super Bowls are still won in the trenches. Even in this pass happy era.
Missed a ton of camp and preseason with injuries I think this is just his red shirt year unless we really need him. If he can be healthy throughout next offseason he will get a chance to develop a real role
Mike McDonald was a rookie DC when he took over in 2022. Both Mike and Zach had the same 7 years NFL experience. The only difference is Mike had 1 year of experience as DC at Michigan.
@@davidmc8475 yeah and it took him until his second year to be good. In my opinion I feel we should’ve went with someone way more experienced, just because of the position we are in. These are years where the Super Bowl has been within reach.
@@Cartwright21215 But he had coaching experience for yearsssssssss before becoming a head coach, that runs in his blood. You can believe what you want but it doesn’t take away from the point. Was Todd Monken promoted from within?

He’s not calling any plays he’s not the DC just an experienced mind to bounce ideas off of. He’s 75 and has been around football his whole life I’ll take having more experienced minds in the room that’s going to help get this defense playing to their potential faster

Macdonald at least got experience in college for a year calling defensive plays before taking that role in NFL
