Make it a series PLEASE. Different cities, more of the variety of rooms, more of the snacks and food options, do other "styles" of rooms offer costume options? I think it's fun and interesting as well as a unique facet of Japanese culture. It even shows up in pop culture like the "Wolverine" movie. Perhaps at some point in the series you can highlight "the most" list like: luxurious, bizarre, off the wall, fun, creepiest etc.

This one though... the rooms look good! Especially the second one cause it looks so fancy that I wouldn't have known it was a love hotel room at first glance until told. Sadly, it is. LGBTQ+ culture is really only beginning to get significant recognition in Japan, and since love hotels are specifically meant for you-know-what, there's a general expectation that those who get a room together are going to get intimate with one another, regardless of gender. Which shouldn't be an issue in a country that statistically 80% supports gay marriage (even if the government does not), and clearly isn't an issue in the case of more upstanding love hotels (Chris and Connor WERE able to get a room together at a number of places, after all), but ultimately, love hotels are considered to be part of the sex industry, and the sex industry in Japan is somewhat notoriously a bit more homophobic and sexist than the public at large. Joshikai are allowed because (1) they're an established thing that people do (whereas for whatever reason, the male equivalent, "danshikai," aren't), and (2) homophobic/sexist managers or hotel staff will probably be permissive even if they think something intimate is going to happen, I would assume, because... well... that's a pretty major kink. Things are improving in this regard, and they're certainly not as bad as they are in other countries (LGBTQ+ individuals are never subject to violence in Japan, with the worst case being that they're turned away from certain specific businesses or gatherings like love hotels or dating mixers, or in extreme cases are denied permission to rent an apartment or house from certain homophobic landlords), but there's still a ways to go before Japan can truly be considered an overall LGBT-friendly nation.
I think the big difference maybe that Tokyo Creative will do a full call ahead explaining while Chris and Connor did it more organically. I also feel like the one they were rejected from was in a smaller suburb but can't really remember. Connor and Chris have done a few Love Hotel vids together though

We do like the love hotels, they're so foreign to us here in Canada, hotels here are not fun, make any noise after 10pm and the front desk calls "Excuse me we're getting noise complaints", My 61 year old Mother went with her friends to Niagara Falls and they couldn't even play music after 10pm.
So, Chris and Connor I think had problems renting some love hotels even though they weren't using them for "privacy". Did you experience any issues like that being an all-female group? Or does having a Japanese person with you help alleviate that (even though Chris and Connor could explain in Japanese that they weren't "together" like that)?
