You would think companies would make it easier for us to tune our amps, using more markings than just 2.....I appreciate your products Steve, the DD-1 is sick too.
No joke, you and your partners are unreal! That is so awesome! I am definitely getting both of those! I always would wonder when their would be tools like this to do just that...now after following you for years...YOU'RE MAKING THEM! lol Your channel is by far my favorite subscription on UA-cam!
Another excellent tool from SMD and D'Amore Engineering! Great job w/ the video, very easy to understand what you are doing. I didn't think those Crunch amps would push those SMD subs quite so good!!
steve, i love how your wires are set up so fucking clean just for (im guessing) a one time thing. that right there is detication my man, im loving the products. i will be buying them both
@chman99 when the signal light turns red, it doesn't mean the signal isn't clean. It comes on to indicate that it doesn't need that much voltage to do its job, so to turn down the volume.
Hell ya this is cool. I just got a DD-1 and it was so easy to use but I didn't know where to set my crossover or sub-sonic filter now I can when I buy one of these. Another missing product that the car audio industry needs. Good job Mead keep up the good work!!!
love how the dog in the back at 3:18 is just chillin....it will be cool if the dd-1 and the cc-1 would be combined to make one insanely awesome tool in the future:)
awwww since your channel is a complete failure, you figured you could talk some shit on a successful channel and hope to gain a viewer that way. Good plan. If i was a loser, i probably would have thought of the same thing.
just checked out one of your video's. Stop talking out of your nostrils. You got some nerve talking shit about me when you sound like fucking Big Bird from Sesame Street. Oh, and stop liking your own posts. You have no friends. Unless Oscar the grouch has a youtube channel LMAO SMH
Dude, what's with the hate? I love your videos, products, and have been watching for years. I don't appreciate you calling my channel a failure or making fun of me? That's real cool. You just reminded me of Chumlee a little bit lol. Just a joke. No need to hate at all...
oh...you don't like getting it right back? c'mon now. When i watch someone's channel and am a fan of it i don't tell that person he is comparable to a fat lethargic slob from a reality tv show. I look nor sound nothing like him so i don't see that as a joke, just a smart ass comment. Typical of a troll.
i got the DD-1 and love it, i use the amps to check the headunit though, some head units dont put out enough power through the rca for signal lol, but thats the head units problem, i definitely want this new CC-1, i may not use it all the time, but well worth the money when i do need it :), ur a great guy Meade
Ur meters r pricey, but totally worth it, ive been researching car audio for a good few months now, n ur channel taught me a lot and is very entertaining. Keep It Up!!!👍
in my opinion, the DD-1 and this new CC-1, are the best two products to buy, that the average bass head can buy and have professional quality products, and also professional results. you could have chosen to make a new design of a t-shirt or hat, but chose this. if i had the money, i would be buying both. maybe you can sell both the DD1 and the CC1 as a combo pack or something (hint hint) haha. anyways, good work steve
Ok, just watching the video, i think steve turned the low pass switch on, then clicked read.... Then adjust the crossover down to calibration... Now its corresponding to exactly aligning with the markings on these rockford old school full range amps
@ChevyGangman323 does the radio not have an ext amp turn on wire?, if it doesnt then check the interior fuse box panel to c which fuse is the "radio" fuse, i have always seen it as a 10amp fuse, dont run all the remote turn ons off of that 1 fuse, u will be sure to blow it, but use a nice wire, i use a 16ga wire, then use a 5 prong relay, run a "+" and "-" wire to the relay from the battery, then from the radio fuse to the relay, then from the relay to all the gadgets u want to turn on with ACC
AND ALMOST FORGOT THE PRODUCT THAT U HAVE IS SOMETHING THAT I WAS WAITING ON FOR SOMEONE TO BRING OUT. AND MAN THAT PRODUCT U HAVE IS FANTASTIC. QUESTION! CAN U SET GAINS ON A AMP IF THE AMP IS NOT RUN THROUGH DECK BUT THROUGH A CROSSOVER OR A Line DRIVERS?
good stuff meade, we came across this prob trying to gain match 2 usamps 2000 to 2 re xxx 12's, this would of been perfect..... I see if my boy will go halfs on the Crossover Calibrator. thanks for everything you brought to the game bro..
When i change the full range switch to low pass on my rockford full range amps i notice the oitput signal increases.. When i use the cc1 and read when in amps low pass mode the calibration seems to match the crossover frequency markings exactly on the amp... When i read in full range mode the calibration seems to be lower than the markings on the amp... Maybe using the 80htz track , the amps saying about 70htz on the markings... . .? Which to use...
Very badass!!! Is there anyway to tell which amp is putting out the most power before calibrating all of them? And is this one for sale yet with the dd-1??
Hey meade are you able to use the dd-1 to set gains on a pro audio amp like the ones for your tower speakers? if so can you do a video on it. Thanks josh
Hey I've got a question because didn't see you addressed this!! does the head unit need to be set to zero on treble and zero on base and 0 on subwoofer output gain??? Also if any electronic crossover that is in line what does it mean to be set to?? Or any line drivers what do they need to be set to???? Before doing this tuning?????
Im lost on how the CC1 said that there wasn't a clean signal? you just used the DD1 to make sure the gains were set correctly. Unless you head unit goes above 33. Thanks in advance for replying
so with the cc1 after the dd1, did either of the amps gain incresased or degreased from what the dd1 read? if it increased a lil to match the calibration of the master, would that leave it a slight distortion? should still be fine correct?
So the cc-1 doesn't do distortion detection? I would have to get both of those devices if I wanna set the gain and if I wanna match the same power for the second subwoofer amp?
Hey wus up Steve, would you set the hz on the amp according to the box tuning? like if my box is tuned to 33hz i would set the Hz gain on the amp to 33?
hi, steve i have 2 rockford fosgate rf series amplifiers 1 amp is set as slave and the other amp is set to master how do i set the gains with this type of setup and can i put the ground probe to the dd-1 anywhere or does it have to be grounded only to the amp that your testing.
I have the Jp43. When I tune the lpf my CC1 works fine. When I go to tune subsonic no matter what tone I play, 20 30 40, it keeps telling me to turn the dial down even though subsonic is down at 15hz. Not sure what's going on with it.
I have the DD-1, would this CC-1 product be beneficial to me since i do not have a subwoofer and only 1 amp running in full range mode for all my speakers? If so how would i know what frequencies to set?
Have a question. I know you start with the main amp 1st. What if says not calibrated you adjust the gain until it does correct? Yours was calibrated on the first try. Was just wondering. thanks
are you going to be coming out with a carrying case for the dd-1 and cc-1? just wandering because im using a carry case that i got with my o-scope to hhouse the dd-1. if you are planning on making a case lemme know and ill buy one
Thanks for all the videos Steve! I have a quick question. What headunit are you using with this setup? I am sure its a Kenwood but what model number? Thanks!
You would think companies would make it easier for us to tune our amps, using more markings than just 2.....I appreciate your products Steve, the DD-1 is sick too.
This is what the car audio world has been needing for a long time easy to use and user friendly mad props on that bro
@Toad559 when the DD-1 is used FIRST, all the amps are VERY VERY close. The CC-1 just fine tunes them. I litterally BARELY BARELY moved each gain.
No joke, you and your partners are unreal! That is so awesome! I am definitely getting both of those! I always would wonder when their would be tools like this to do just that...now after following you for years...YOU'RE MAKING THEM! lol Your channel is by far my favorite subscription on UA-cam!

Can't believe I'm just now seeing this. My next birthday present to myself right here.
Steve, been a long time viewer loving all the new products you are getting out there for the car audio game. keep doing it big and never stop ballin
Another must have tool for every good installer out there. You and the guys of D'amore Engineering are geniuses.
very nice vid. Give more. we love watching your videos. :)
@Pierry169 if its a DD1 then a year....BUT, if its a defect we will always honor it and keep your unit up and running one way or another
Braught this in the combo pack lastnight JUST to tune my new car stereo. Cant wait for them to get here!!!!!
That is the Best product i have seen for car audio, yet. you are a pioneer and genius
steve, i love how your wires are set up so fucking clean just for (im guessing) a one time thing. that right there is detication my man, im loving the products. i will be buying them both
@chman99 when the signal light turns red, it doesn't mean the signal isn't clean. It comes on to indicate that it doesn't need that much voltage to do its job, so to turn down the volume.
@dannyhughes25 I will show you guys that soon...unfortunately these amps didnt have a ss filter setting on them.
I love outtakes! Please do more of it! Who of the same opinion is thumbs up!
Hell ya this is cool. I just got a DD-1 and it was so easy to use but I didn't know where to set my crossover or sub-sonic filter now I can when I buy one of these. Another missing product that the car audio industry needs. Good job Mead keep up the good work!!!

Awesome demonstration vid. Thanks Chumlee!

Steve, I cannot find this unit anywhere online. I really would like to obtain one. Are there going to be more made soon?
i got the DD-1 and love it, i use the amps to check the headunit though, some head units dont put out enough power through the rca for signal lol, but thats the head units problem, i definitely want this new CC-1, i may not use it all the time, but well worth the money when i do need it :), ur a great guy Meade
That's badass! Been watching your videos for years SMD!

Pretty cool my man. I see a LFA in your future! Pretty nifty gadgets if I do say so myself. LIKED + INCREDIBLE!
im glad i was able to grab the both of them that will make my amp uning way easier than by ear :)
Yay another thing ill have to buy to make my future dream system run perfect... and to think the DD1 was all i needed.
I wonder how well this will go on the 3sixty.2 i have to see just how precise the crossover is on that when you set it. Great products Meade!!
Ur meters r pricey, but totally worth it, ive been researching car audio for a good few months now, n ur channel taught me a lot and is very entertaining. Keep It Up!!!👍

Wow, those Crunch amps made that sub jump a lot more than I expected lol... even tho it was free-air.
awesome man, cant wait to see what other sweet tools you guys think up
More car audio equipment than Best Buy... every mans dream
Keep makin waves in the industry bro, good work
STEVE: So I went and bought these amps...

Ok, just watching the video, i think steve turned the low pass switch on, then clicked read.... Then adjust the crossover down to calibration... Now its corresponding to exactly aligning with the markings on these rockford old school full range amps
another industry changing tool.saving up to get them both next year.awesome!!!
Thanks Steve. Selling my nightshade and amp to buy your AA SMD and selling my HIDS in my car to afford the DD-1!
Glad to see your own products :)
if u are using a DD-1 or o-scope u should be damn close on all amps (gains) if the exact same.
hope to see more in the future b4 purchase.
bloopers at the end would make each video even better lol.
I run a 1200w 4-ch crunch in my car, and it gets the job done pretty good for how cheap it was :D
Damn thats an awesome product! Cant wait to get ahold of one of those.
Great job Steve awesome product...!

Quite good flex for 500 watt amps, I hope to get them in your giveaway :D
You said that you developed these products with a few friends? Are any of you electrical engineers? Good thinking, this is a cool product.
That is BADASS!!!! WOW! Those Sub's where slapping!!!!
lmao i JUST baught a powerzone p1100.2 crunch is beasty for the price. glad to see you still can appricate the cheaper shit! keep bangin meade.
Need those smd subs in my life
AND ALMOST FORGOT THE PRODUCT THAT U HAVE IS SOMETHING THAT I WAS WAITING ON FOR SOMEONE TO BRING OUT. AND MAN THAT PRODUCT U HAVE IS FANTASTIC. QUESTION! CAN U SET GAINS ON A AMP IF THE AMP IS NOT RUN THROUGH DECK BUT THROUGH A CROSSOVER OR A Line DRIVERS?

I like the box full of goodies.
I Love These Amps. They Works Really good. I Got The 1500.1
@latexx88 im nothing without my partners at D'amore engineering....but thanks !!!
maybe im blind but those crunch amps were beatin the hell out of those SMDs LOL
When i change the full range switch to low pass on my rockford full range amps i notice the oitput signal increases..

When i read in full range mode the calibration seems to be lower than the markings on the amp... Maybe using the 80htz track , the amps saying about 70htz on the markings...
. .?
Which to use...
Nice !!! Finally got something to tune my amps right!!
Very badass!!! Is there anyway to tell which amp is putting out the most power before calibrating all of them? And is this one for sale yet with the dd-1??
Amps were strapped? Hence the probe running from one to the other?
you gotta do more of them outtakes at the end of your vids
How cool is that?
VERY COOL!!!!
Those things are doin work!!!
Just to know you have made diy guy alot easier for installing car audio thanks
How do you know what volume to put it on when setting the gain also which test tone for that ?
nice work steve
Hey meade are you able to use the dd-1 to set gains on a pro audio amp like the ones for your tower speakers? if so can you do a video on it. Thanks josh

Is there possibly a very awesome carrying case in the works for this lovely pair of beauties :)
Are the internals of this crossover calibrator completely different from the Helix Digital Crossover you used?
hi, steve i have 2 rockford fosgate rf series amplifiers 1 amp is set as slave and the other amp is set to master how do i set the gains with this type of setup and can i put the ground probe to the dd-1 anywhere or does it have to be grounded only to the amp that your testing.

What kind of power supply do you use for tests like these? Your drawing a lot of amps so im curious how you dont blow circuits.
wow nice new tools great
this video was very helpfull
cant wait to get my hands on one! when are they coming out?
did u just eyeball the one with the highest spot on the gain or did u clamp each one to see which put out the least power?
I agree with the man behind the camera at 5:05
would give up alot of things to have a job like you
Wonderful excellent product
Incredible product man! Could I purchase the DD-1 and the CC-1 if I live in canada?
@Mr21ghostman thats my boy Joey's - he is parking it there for a few while he settles some personal issues.
Have a question. I know you start with the main amp 1st. What if says not calibrated you adjust the gain until it does correct? Yours was calibrated on the first try. Was just wondering. thanks
How does it adjust the subsonic filter
are you going to be coming out with a carrying case for the dd-1 and cc-1? just wandering because im using a carry case that i got with my o-scope to hhouse the dd-1. if you are planning on making a case lemme know and ill buy one
This is to cool!! Now I have two tools that I gotz to have!!
Thanks for all the videos Steve!
I have a quick question.
What headunit are you using with this setup?
I am sure its a Kenwood but what model number?
Thanks!
GREAT INVENTION. LOVE IT
