Maybe if the airlines didn’t loose your luggage maybe I would not travel with carryon only. It’s not the fee I care about. It’s about not losing my luggage.
If all these airlines want to be more diligent about size and weight of luggage and get us to check them in… Then they shouldn’t be losing so much luggage and having issues with staff stealing!!!
It about time. No one needs to bring the kitchen sink! Just the essential if for some odd reason your luggage is delayed or mis transported in error, you will have the basics to tie you over for a day or two. Underwear and basic hygienic needs, like dental, hair care etc.
Invest in a small, digital luggage scale... It's better to know -- for sure -- exactly what your carry-on bag weighs BEFORE trying to take it through the gate at the airport. Also note that for connecting legs and side-trips during international flights, certain countries (and airlines) may have different weight limitations -- and WIDELY varying fees if your carry-on is subsequently diverted to being a checked bag. It's a common got'cha for unsuspecting tourists.
Of course one needs to keep original packaging on meds. How else can one prove what the drug is? Even for prescription drugs , the patient needs to know what the drug is and how to take it .
Airlines outside the USA have always been more careful about carry on size and weight. It’s the us airlines that we’re the Wild West. 7kg has been standard for many airlines for decades
@@karenl8837 Now it’s the same for the UK except the airlines won’t be making the rules it will be our government , so it will apply to everyone flying out of the UK in effect from this month.
I welcome restrictions on food being brought on board. I had to sit next to a couple who brought food on board. She had a salad with dressing that stunk out loud. And he had a disgusting gut bomb that looked like it belonged in the toilet. I actually looked around to see if it was a joke and I was on camera. Unfortunately it was just some inconsiderate passengers.
Checking a bag is not new . No one use to carry on a suitcase. Look back from 60s- 90s. Get an American Airlines credit card and you get one suitcase free.
That’s because people have gotten ridiculous and try to get away with too much. Those are the ones that spoil it for those of us that follow the rules.
My old lady was denied boarding our flight because the had 3 rotting fetuses in her super sized Kotex. The pad wasn’t even full and would be charged 3 hours later in MSP during our layover. The gate agent didn’t like the smell and the fact that my old lady was wearing a larger pad.
I agree. Reading some of the comments by others - if they want to stop me bringing on food because I have allergies that airlines don’t cater for - then I want restrictions on people who are ‘that time of month’ that smell.
thanks for watching. Be sure to subscribe :)

Are the standards this strict at the southern border?
😂
Maybe in 2025 they'll get a little stricter!

Travel with backpack and small personal item for years. No reason to bring massive suitcases less stress.
Agreed but some people are over-packers like me :)
Backpacks are heavy. Not everyone can carry a backpack through a large airport, etc.
