Wow so many variations to try, love it! Could I use the same method but without cutting off the section at the bottom, so no seam by the hips? Thanks Izzy, I did post my first every skirt make on Minerva 😊.
Hi Liz, great to hear you’re enjoying the series and sewing up your own version. Yes, absolutely, you can use this method however you like. You can use the ‘slash and spread’ method in so many different ways - it’s defiantly worth having a play around with different locations for the technique. Hope you enjoy exploring this drafting method further!
Fantastic video. Would love a video on how you digatize your own personal skirt block so i could print mine off to try all your fabulous skirt design modifications. If there is a video alrwady, someone please point it out to me 😊
Hi Samantha, glad to hear you’re finding the videos helpful. There are many different software packages you can use to draw up a block. Some are free and others require a licence fee. It’s worth doing bit of research to find out what will suit your needs. We’ve not produced a video on this, but there is plenty guidance elsewhere online you can read up on.
This might be the best skirt drafting series I've seen online. Thank you!
Thanks so much 😊
