For real lol. It’s one thing for people to make up shit and lie about the most random stuff for likes and shares, but then there’s the types who have to be extra extra for that 1 minute of viral fame … and there is no limit to what those types will do to get it.
Mostly because so many people give them attention over their “mistake”, and as a result, brands even begin to give them attention because of the view count. So, they hop all over that in hopes of getting free stuff in return.
Been way too many people that have ruined their hair in hopes of getting content creators like Brad Mondo or someone to react (even going out of their way to act like they hope he never sees it while tagging him and mentioning him constantly) … all so they can maybe get sent one of his products to “fix” it.
People are weird as hell…
I've a slightly different thought about the first lady with the hairdresser fail cut. She states that she constantly stopped him, argued with him, told him off for what he was doing and if that Is the case, then he simply wasn't allowed to actually do his job. He was being continously interupted and unable to proceed properly. If this was a salon surely they would have seen this happening and tried to stop it? Surely she should have got up out of the chair to stop this continuing, Unless she has Anxiety which was causing her continual challenges to his work. I'm not so sure she did this herself but there's Definitely two sides or more to this particular story 😕

So here's my thing. If you're getting a bad cut and you k ow it, stop them. And by God you sure as hell don't pay them. I had a bad cut. She got one snip and when 3 people all hair dressers gasped and she came at me again I grabbed her arm, took the scissors and simply said "manager/owner. Now." I did not pay. I went to a better salon and the bad salon got the bill. 3 stylist took 4 hours trying to fix what she did. I had very long straight hair. No bangs. I asked for a trim. I lost 8 inches off the length and got layers and long bangs to try to hide the chunk she cut near my shoulder blade. A trim. A trim for dead ends. I'd been growing my hair for 20 years. I've never gotten it back to that again.
so here's my thing. you can still be polite, even to people who have made a mistake cutting your hair! and maybe don't grab people :) and if you're going to lie on the internet atleast make yourself look good 🤔 if you truly grabbed a stylist and somehow took her scissors i don't think anybody would have come near you after that.

I can only count around 10 times that my hair was cut right or colored right. Ive had more bad experiences than good in all my 56 years. Im glad for hair Budda that gives us how too tips. And i do believe these girls when they say it was done at a salon. Because its happened to me more times than i count. And these bad experiences were not in one area or town. Many states and cities. I lived and traveled to many. So needless to say i Do Not trust these anymore. Yes ive screwed my hair up just as bad sometimes. But when i screw up it doesnt cost me a lot of money. Just my experiences.
Also 56 and having trouble remembering 5 times I got a not-bad haircut. After getting divorced and starting my first post-divorce job, I took no chances and went to THE TOP internationally known hotel where all diplomats stay in our nation's capital. People come from overseas to get their hair done. Explained my hair habits and how much time I had, as a single mother to toddlers, to do my hair. Walked out with a haircut which REQUIRED me to spend hours a day to maintain. I have cut my own hair for years now and my worst cut is better than alllll the ones I paid for.
I only had one truly superior haircut in my life, and when I went back to the exact same stylist to have him do it the exact same way, he totally butchered my hair and gave me the worst haircut I've ever had in my life.
I made him give me my money back, never went back to him again, and it took me a year to grow out his mess.

There's a lot of salons who don't have good stylists, to be honest. I went to get my hair lightened. I did it before in the late 90's with a box bleach and it came out a strawberry blonde color that suited my skin tone very well. So I went to a salon to get it done last year. Instead of using any sort of bleach, she dyed it with deep red hair dye (I have very dark brown hair). You couldn't even see the difference unless I was under direct sunlight. I have yet to be able to find any stylist in my area who can lighten hair. they all want to just stop with highlights or something. All four appointments I made at four different salons I asked for my hair to be over-all lightened lightened when making the appointment and they put me down for simple highlights instead. I gave up lol

Hi! I had an experience at a salon in which I asked for a balayage and I ended with unblended bleached stripes like the girl in the last video. That was when I started doing my own hair to fix what the hairdresser had done. I wish she would have told me she didn’t know how to do it, that would have been the professional thing to do I think.

I'm curious. The lady with the awful cut and shaved eyebrows. She not only paid for the cut, she also tipped. I've noticed several videos of women leaving the salon in tears, having paid for the massacre. Is there a time to refuse to pay? And how do you do it? I'm not a confrontational person but if my hair was that bad I think I'd just leave.
Once I got burned by a bleach bun. Hairdresser lied about the wound. I paid, tipped and never went there again.
I worked in a salon as a teenager and spent a lot of time in them beyond that. In my experience, most of the time, if the cut/service is truly awful, the salon owner (or manager or whomever is on hand to make decisions) will suggest a re-service for free. So you'd still pay, but you'd get some sort of assistance afterward, you made someone aware. You can't just pay, walk away and expect anyone at the salon to know you were extremely unhappy unless you told them in the moment or immediately afterward.
This re-service is them admitting that your hair is beyond a simple correction and they will usually try to make it right, although you don't get your time back.
So, you'd have to come back and have your hair redone. I've never seen anyone refuse to pay, but hair salon employees are NOT folks you want to stiff when it somes to money. Things can out of hand very quickly, especially as emotions are involved.
So SPEAK UP while you're in the chair, people! Refer them back to the reference photos you brought. If it's clear that they're not able to do your hair the way you want, request someone else.

I definitely think more people need to say when they aren’t happy with a colour/cut. I wouldn’t want to pay someone for messing up my hair.

I didn't hear, but sadly I've been to a hairdresser who burned my hair pretty badly and it was super healthy before. It was long and curly, but I ended up with a bob to my chin because it was so damaged & she had the audacity to say she would fix it, but charge me. I should've know to leave when she was 30 minutes late & giving another client all the attention. I didn't even get what I asked for in the 1st place. I did eventually go to someone else who did a nice job and grew out , but let me tell you, it took about 4 years to get it back to right under my shoulders.
I can give you the address of a "professional" - more than 30 years who will make you wish WISH your hair was as amazing as the last woman's. Buy your 4 boxes of box dye ahead so you can get started right away trying to fix the mess before work the next morning.

Why do all of these people use regular household scissors, the worst thing you could use.
I gotta say. When a pair of scissors calls out to you, the call is hard to ignore. I took 4 inches off a few weeks ago, then last Sunday the scissors said it's work wasn't done. But I'm a curly 3C. Curls cover a MULTITUDE of sins let me tell you!!!

I've had bad haircuts by professionals before. I think some salons have low standards and poor quality control. A good hairdresser doesn't have to be super expensive either. I used to go to a high end salon but i didnt think the cut or foiling was worth the hefty price. I decided to look around and I found a small local one with a more modest price range and found a delightful stylist who does a great job and actually cuts my hair taking into account my wavy hair, cowlick and more classic/non-trendy way of dressing. Shes an angel. She's in WA Australia though not US.

When I was I high school I got a hair cut a she actually snipped a chunk out of my skin on my neck with the tip of the scissors when she was cutting the sides. I did NOT tip her tho. I can't believe she even paid anything for the cut let alone tipping on top of it.

@hair-buddha or anyone, how can I brighten my blonde balayage at home without bleach? My balayage is grown out and I want to dye the blonde purple/pink with direct pigments. I know purple shampoo will not lighten thanks to you 😉 but I just want to refresh it and see if I can get the brassiness out and possibly make it more lighter for when I do it bright purple and/or pink (not a pastel). That one I wondered about. But if there's one thing I will not accept is "I didn't say anything" to then get online and tell the bloody world. If you don't say anything how does who you're not saying anything to know they're doing anything wrong? I am so tired of hearing that from people like they expect the person they don't say anything to to be mind readers then get online and expect sympathy from total strangers.

I've had the experience of just wanting it to be over 2 weeks ago with my nails at a salon. They're a mess. The self hair cut that the woman did near the 7 min mark is me as a 14 yr old. There is a school photo where my hair is about 6 inches longer on one side than the other by accident. I just gave up because I kept cutting and it was never close to even.
