Man I didn’t know this would happen so soon… going through the Bible chronologically really puts all stories together. But reading it today was hard. So much destruction that followed his actions.
A lot of human problems have human origins. We as humans, suffer because we choose to ignore the will of God, but we do things according to our own feelings, intelligence, or judgment.
This chapter has talked to me particularly.

One can never hide from God.
I knew that this was coming but I didn’t remember where. And when I was reading through it my mouth dropped more than once. I knew the story but reading it again just brings a genuine shock. And when I read I read the last line that these things displeased the Lord, I was like 🤦🏽♀️come on David. All because of his flesh, He disrespected and did not listen to God.

I felt like why David didn't seek God for guidance.. He asked him about other things.. then again we don't seek God as much as we should about decisions before we make them 😢

So uriah got to go to heaven and suffer no more. David had to feel the pain of losing a child. But, David too will be forgiven

2 One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful,
3 and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.”
4 Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. (Now she was purifying herself from her monthly uncleanness.) Then she went back home.
5 The woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, “I am pregnant.”
