Wasn't expecting that. For some listeners or prefs, probably could be higher on the list but I think people will hear you and get it.
I dig it. Not perfect but a fun clean sound.
I bought one during the last AliExpress sale for about $90. I am excited to give it a listen! Great review, brother...
Hope you enjoy it! That's a killer deal.
How do they sound , what is the Con ? how good is the texture of all the notes , full body or not so ? appreciate your response !
Great review, thanks! Were planning to skip this one since I've already got the Rhapsody. But all reviews I've seen say Hydro is something really special. Guess I need to get it.
Good choice! It’s a solid pick. If you get it, I hope you enjoy it. I think it’s special.
Yo, I gotta try these lol great review, brother.
I think it's a very solid set for the price.
Amazing review brother! I whole heartedly agree that the thing that keeps people from talking about the Hydro is KZ's reputation. If any other company released these, people would hype these to death. But because it's KZ, no one will trust them. They're a very versatile and the best CCA/KZ set I've heard and they deserved to get more people talking about them.
Thanks for your honest great review! I love them!
Thanks. As a reviewer, you have to review based on the product only. Great review.
Missed opportunity they could have called it Hydra.
Good call! I think it’s a great value. 😂
Nice, I imagine this clears the 200 and under segment
I think this is very competitive with other sets. I love it. Easily one of my favorites.
Nice! I struggled a bit with some reviews because it was being reviewed as a $120 KZ, instead of a $120 iem, which made it harder to figure out whether to pick it up or not...
Never pay more than you can afford but if the fit isn’t an issue, this is a great set. Class leading at its price easily to my ears.
@@Jaytiss Ah dope, that's great to hear! And I've already got a set on the way, so it's just a matter of waiting for them now 😁 Thanks!!
Awesome! Enjoy.
@@Jaytiss I hope so. I'm a little annoyed now that I'm hearing the Supermix 4 might drop at around $150, as I probably would have waited to see which to pick up between the 2. But we'll see what happens 😁
Its an amazing set. Even without the switches its a great balanced set. The switches are just there to add flavor. Grat soundstage, amazing separation and detail
Glad you like it!
I like music and I bought the cca trio, and in the future I will buy the hydro
I like the upper air on the hydro more. I think it’s very competitive.
Glad to hear your thoughts and that you really like them. I bought the Trio and Rhapsody and think they both sound great for the price. Probaly will get these. I think my P5's sound bettter. Or is because I paid more? Thanks for the review.
Thanks for sharing! Audio is weird where we attach value to amount paid but not always true.
Hey Jaytiss what is your music preference. I ask only because you include it in your ranking tier list. So I just wanna see if your preferences line up with mine. I listen like 60% electronic & pop music and maybe 30% rock & metal. I have narrowed down my search to Pula pa02, CCA hydro, juzear 61t. Any suggestions on which one I should go for?
I have open playlists on tidal that you can check out.
Yes, it's unbelieveable sets, and i really enjoy them so so much, wondering what tips i can put on to make them even better.
I like divinius Velvet. Very nice.
Great! happened to got them from the fudu, thanks!
I hope you like the hydro. It’s very nice.
How are the vocals compared to the gizaudio Chopin?
I think the vocals are very nice. I find Chopin a little more female vocal centric. Chopin is 80 dollars more and has a unique fit. I think it’s very close. And I would see people preferring the hydro over the choppin.
Ok fine! I'm hitting the buy button dammit!
Enjoy!
I've ordered the Hydro after your glowing review. I'm also looking at maybe adding the SLIIVO SL-41 MK2, during 11/11.
I wondered why the CKLVX D41 has dropped down from the same high rank of 92 to 49 in your 147 list? (which is quite a drop!)
Is it cos they're a re-branded Pula PA 02? Do you know if the SLIIVO SL-41 MK2 are tuned to be a significant upgrade? Cheers !!
^ can you expand on this please?
I sometimes drop things when other products are a bit in value. The cklvx d41 is a funny set. I think it’s fine just not special. I think people might be better off buying the Aful Explorer or Cca Hydro.
Yes. No I just think it’s really safe and ok. The bass isn’t fantastic or the air. Pula pa02 and its clone the cklvx 41d are just kinda mid. I think 3 star is appropriate meaning it’s just a mild recommendation and I think it can be skipped for someone asking what to buy today. I feel there are better options at around 150-170.
@@Jaytiss Thanks for clarifying - I think I'll wait until Hydo arrives first obvs Aful Explorer stage sounds like it might be too intimate, in the $170 ish ballpark I'll look for a set with an even bigger / more orbital stage...thanks !!
Good luck in your hunt!
I tried the hexa but wasn't a fan of the vocals on that set and returned it,would you think this has more forward vocals?how well does it do in vocals?
I love this iem. I highly recommend it for vocals.
Hello Jaytiss Thanks for the video review , Just placed my order based on your recommendation , how dose it compare to Aful Performer 8 ? You ranked this set so high , Ranking is so important to me that it gives people awareness what level the lems perform and deliver !
It's good. I think it’s very competitive with other items in the 200-300 range. It’s fun and enjoyable.
@@Jaytiss thank you deeply for a response , you are awesome with many many thanks.
@@Jaytiss l believed that your channel will grow bigger and bigger, just need some interesting titles to draw people in ,l think you can copy a bit from Timmy Gizaudio with your own style that should work really well cheers.
Trying to figure it all out. Thanks for the kind words.
It seems like the ranking of the hydro dropped from when you first put it on your list. Did your opinion of it go down over time?
I still find it a great value. The way I displayed my list has changed.
hello, Do you think what is the best punch/slam bass iems you have ever listened?
No, but its a great value and a lot of fun. It has clear upper treble and nice rumbly bass.
@@Jaytiss I mean what is the best slam bass iem in your collection?
Fat frequency grand Mystero for sure. I dig it.
@@Jaytiss Isn't it overpriced?
The only problem I have with Hydro is the Rhapsody.. Rhapsody uses the same BAs I’m not sure the hydro is worth 3-4 times the price of the Rhapsody. That is the problem I see. Great review my friend. I wish you would have compared it to the Rhapsody though.
Yeah probably should have done so. But suffice it to say that I do think Hydro is worth the extra to get it.
@@Jaytiss I have Rhapsody, I think I’ll wait a bit to catch Hydro on sale.
That’s smart. It’s stil a bit and rhapsody is very nice.
How does the CCA Hydro compare to the EA500LM?
Less bright. Cleaner upper mids. But your mileage might vary. Fit is better for me than Simgot 500lm.
I think they won t risk their reputation again it would be very bad commercially. How is the separation compared to AFUL P8 i have a set waiting in the customs what a torture 😛
Aful 8 has just smoothness but is a little neutral sounding. I think if you are hunting detail Aful 8 could be the way to go. Hydro is just an awesome V shaped set with tons of bass. Just so fun and clean. Very competitive!
@@Jaytiss thanks but I don t think p8 is natural sounding especially in the mids.Neutral or monitor style requires more 3 khz gain and Hydro is closer to that.Hm 20 has the most monitor neutral midrange but it has elevated bass that is not in the neutral side of things.
Hi, is this suitable for EDM, electronic dance music ?
Yeah, I think that you'll love it. Great value product to my ears.
Got Rhapsody today - it's great, so maybe I don't need to pay extra for the Hydro?
No need to upgrade if happy. 😃
So KZ/CCA finally made a "kilobuck killer" for 1/10th of the price... sweet.
I think it pretty impressive.
@@Jaytiss Yeah it's in my wish list. Maybe I'll pick it up once the big sales arrive.
@@Jaytiss Also, I have a different opinion regarding KZ's "pokemon" product release schedule. First, it shows that they iterate and they iterate really fast suggesting a competent engineering prowess behind the brand. Second, this is a clear demonstration that they have strong manufacturing capabilities with QC (most of the 2023+ batch of models have great channel matching). Lastly, they have a large (nearly too large) portfolio of products that cater to a wider audience preferences and budget segments. Honestly, the recent KZ controversies are mostly PR and marketing related [I ignore the BS outrage]. The "fake drivers" (it's claimed that some drivers act like tuners rather than tweeters) and glue blockage issues (factory problem) are solved with better manufacturing which again, seem like they've figured out.
I have no problem with kz. It’s not my fight or game.
Are these easy to drive with an IPhone?
Very easy.
What switches do you primarily use with this set?
Nope. Holdin out for Davinci.
Fair. :)
From a pure consumer standpoint, judge the IEM on price/performance for what it is. If the company/brand is responding to the market by delivering this type of product, along with others...to include the KZ Castor (improved bass) at under $16, the KZ AZ10 Pro 2 at under $40, and the CCA Rhapsody at under $45...then it should be rewarded with business. I believe KZ paid a price for its past product failures and has LEARNED, obviously. If it had continued to churn out bombs like the KZ DQ6 and the KZ CRN, then I could understand the negative sentiment. But it has not...in fact, the 180 degree turnaround within the last two years should be pretty obvious. Those reviewers that continue to cling to the past and hold them forever to the fire...well...that's their problem, imo.
I think people should stop covering their asses in fear of the woke Karens of the world and simply make their resp. call based on a truthful opinion of the product. Period.
I agree. No reason to not give them a fair shot.
