    FAQs below:
    Q: You forgot "It's Like God Book Illuminations in Here"!
    A: Thanks so much to @johnbalkin8223 for mentioning this! This requirement slipped through the net, as for regular players, it is unlikely to take more than a couple of hours (so is not classed as lengthy (3+)), but for ironmen, this will take a VERY long time.
    It's Like God Book Illuminations in Here summary:
    Also added to the MQC in January 2023 was this requirement where you must create all 6 illuminated god books after 'One Piercing Note'.
    For Regular Players: Go to the lighthouse and purchase all 6 damaged illuminated god books from Jossik on the top floor. Purchase all the relevant pages from the Grand Exchange and add them to each book. Go to the Abbey of St. Elspeth Citharede, east of Al Kharid, equipped with your books and pages, and use a book on the table in a room to the south. Complete all the actions from top to bottom (be aware, this will drain your prayer points, but these can be restored in the altar to the east). Once you've restored all 6 books, the achievement will unlock.
    For Ironmen: All the steps above are the same, but God book pages will have to be earned from clue scrolls and not bought which is difficult and lengthy due to RNG.
    Estimated Completion Time (regular players): 1-2 Hours as regular players are able to just purchase the god book pages needed from the GE.
    Estimated Completion Time (ironmen): Unknown as pages need to be gained from clue caskets and other RNG methods, so the time it would take to get them all would be VERY high!
    Q: Why did you release this before Necromancy?
    A: Just as Archaeology did, Necromancy will likely change the Master Quest Cape and its requirements drastically and we won't know where we stand for a couple of months after its release. It felt important to me to get my 2023 guide out now and avoid the inevitable waiting time and confusion that Necromancy will cause to the MQC. Also, my overview guides are always annually released every July, so it made sense to create the video now and release it.

      Thanks for the explanation, I meant to mention this one in the discord but I forgot. On my ironman I'm currenlty just two pages short of finishing this one and I pretty much do clues as much as possible over the past 18 months, I'm currently gunning for the quest cape at the moment before August 7th so the clue hunt is on hold. I do have nearly 150 clues (including close to 100 masters!) banked so hopefully those last 2 will come from those....

      @@jatkinson85 Not a problem! Mistakes will always be made, especially when there are so many requirements to consider and analyse! Best of luck with the clue grind, hopefully you'll get your final two pages soon! :)

    Didn’t realize how much old trim aligned with MQC, after watching this I had everything but 4! Hopefully that means it won’t be too terrible to get my trim back!

      Thanks for your message! Glad to hear you had most of the achievements on this list except from four. Which four were they? I'm hoping the requirements you need are not too longwinded... Best of luck reclaiming trimmed comp! :)

    Hey there, great video! Just wanted to add a couple things. I think you're spot on with the Temple Trekking time length. It's been a minute since I've done that achievement, but I do know it took me over 10 hours. I believe I did the hard paths, because it levels up the NPCs a bit faster, typically anyways. Also, with the Nodon Dragonkin you can use the Shard of Erebus (need to equip) and it will make them un-aggressive towards you, making it a bit more afk friendly

    • @TheRuneScapeLorehound
      @TheRuneScapeLorehound  Рік тому

      Hey!
      Thank you so so much! Glad to hear my Temple Trekking estimate is about right... Always get concerned with that time estimation. I will also remember to note that hard paths should always be taken.
      Ahhh, forgot about the Shard of Erebus too for the Nodon Dragonkin! Appreciate that piece of advice. Honestly, these comment sections are fantastic as they become the up-to-date area for MQC requirement information and tips! :)

      Hey @DanVWeller,
      Thank you so much for supporting my video as usual! Yes, Necromancy will likely change the MQC pretty significantly as new skills and big updates usually do... Will be sure to work out how it affects the MQC and hopefully, update you all on the new additions! Best of luck with your continued grind for the Master Quest Cape :).

    MQC is one of my favorite capes in the game! Should really start grinding towards it, but for now I'll need to lvl up all my skills to be able to get going. Thinking about maxing my account first :D. The good thing is, I've practically finished all the hard parts of archaeology - lvl 113 as of now, but I've completed every single mystery (boosting helped a bit on the last one lol) and I've done every research and collection up to my lvl. "Only" missing the rest of the collections and research (due to being too low lvl'd right now).
    425 quest points right now, soon done with every quest and mini quest hopefully. Should probably start doing POP soon - Have no idea how it works at all lol.
    Only thing I'm fearing is probably slayer and dung (99 in both) and it would take me a looooong time to get those done.... Any good tips for those maybe? Like I could probably use the "pokeballs" to catch slayer monster while I train the skill up towards 115. No idea how to progress on dung... It's a future me problem xd
    Btw - Are there any discord server or website with a written guide on MQC? Alot of information in this video and I'm too bad at making a "to-do" list on things to get done to save up time.

      Hi exotic_beat7281,
      MQC is definitely my favourite cape in the game too. Oddly enough, I actually got my MQC before maxing! Sounds like you've made some great gains towards the MQC so far.
      Eastern Adventurer (or Ports) is a bit of a nightmare. I've always wanted to create a guide for it, but it's really tricky to explain and as I'm covering requirements alphabetically, I've had no time to get past B yet =/.
      Unfortunately, you will need 115 Slayer (110 with boosts), and 117 Dungeoneering for the MQC. My best recommendation for Dungeoneering is to do Sinkholes every day and complete the Daemonheim hard tasks for 10% extra xp for Sinkholes. If you like PvM, you could run Elite Dungeons instead or as well. Slayer is another story. It's very difficult for me to recommend a quick way to level up Slayer. If you have a co-op partner you could slay with, that might help break up the grind, especially if you can have a chat whilst doing it.
      I have a Discord server dedicated to the lore and MQC here: discord.gg/Pk4PS3pmz8 - There's not a whole lot of activity, but you can ask any questions about the MQC there! The information for the MQC is placed all around the RuneScape Wiki, but as far as I'm aware, I'm the only one who has consolidated it into separate guides. Looking through this playlist and watching these A-Z Guide videos might help you tick the first lot of requirements off: ua-cam.com/play/PLY_wpu-Lw--nbeO-3lFrTyB3pXS7odK-V.html.
      Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I really want to produce more videos, but struggle with uploading regularly due to other commitments.
      If you have any other questions, please let me know.

    Great video! I'm not gonna' comp myself until after Necromancy's release, and likely won't MQC for a good while after that (probable that I'll be taking a break after maxing again), but it's always great to get refreshers on just how much content this game has to offer down avenues yet unexplored.
    I do have a tip for the Temple Trekking/Burgh de Rott ramble grind, however! If during your run you get a non-vampyre combat encounter, such as giant snails, swamp snakes, etc., you can aggro all of the enemies to yourself and let your companion attack the monsters for some very quick experience-this is because, as far as I'm aware, the companions still work on oldschool combat rules, wherein each individual damage splat will net them experience, so they don't even have to kill the enemies to get their gains! Using a shield and tanky equipment is a plus. You get diminishing returns in the higher companion levels, as its generally quicker to spam runs rather than grind them through the final 10 levels or so, but in the mid-level range you can cut a couple hours off of your grind using this method.

      Hey @Postcinct,
      Thanks for commenting and engaging with my content :). Necromancy is certainly going to confuse the Master Quest Cape for a while, as did Archaeology. Hence why, I thought it was important to cover the new lengthiest requirements before the release of Necromancy. RuneScape is absolutely stuffed with content; it's quite incredible when you boil it all down.
      Brilliant advice for 'Complete Trekky'! Thank you so much for sharing. I had forgotten about that method of levelling companions up (as I think I actually used it...), so really appreciate you sharing this :).

    And yet again it seems this Guide becomes slightly obsolete with 2024 now bringing a 120 Necromancy requirement "Birds of Prey"
    Myreque in Memoriam is now no longer a long task as Jagex have rencently removed the timegate so you can build all the plinths at once now.

      Hey kylord20001,
      Thanks for your comment. I know exactly what you mean. Unfortunately, Jagex have put the same buff on the quest cape now which is a bit of a shame considering how much time the MQC takes to get.
      I’m releasing my 2024 Edition of this video today, so please do keep an eye out for that if you’re interested ☺️.

    I've knocked out a massive handful of MQC requirements since I started going for it and the only req I currently have that's giving me trouble is the Kraken Ink Achievement. Second boss does not want to cooperate with me XD 7 hrs deep so far running story mode w/ lorehound and DG master cape. I'll get it eventually!
    Does anyone know if KC increases drop chance like with ED2 or is it pure RNG? I want a break from it XD

      @TheRuneScapeLorehound  Рік тому

      Hey @Evil_Celebi,
      Ah, Of Kraken Ink and the other ED lorebook achievements are really annoying... I remember one of the books took me like 40 kills and another took me around 30. Although, it does sound like you are having particularly bad luck at the moment :(.
      Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm pretty sure the drop chance does not increase with each consecutive kill :( meaning you just have to be lucky... Don't you love RNG?

    Song many long requirements.
    Necromancy is going to add in more.
    It has been fun going for the master cape, I still have lots of things left.
    You didn't mention "It's Like God Book Illuminations in Here".
    The requirements for that looks like it will take a really long time, I got some pages doing Ivan is Flailing, so I wouldn't recommend discarding the keys.

    • @jatkinson85
      @jatkinson85 Рік тому +1

      For that achievement if you're an ironman that will take a long time because you can only get the god pages via clues and ancient caskets, for a main you just buy the pages and then go and illuminate the books.

      Cheers for the comment. You're absolutely right in saying that Necromancy will likely add even more to the MQC! You're also right in pointing out that I didn't mention "It's Like God Book Illuminations in Here" which is a fault of my own! @jatkinson85 is absolutely right that for regular players, this achievement is unlikely to take more than 2 hours, but for ironmen, this achievement would be VERY long.
