Remove any sticker to avoid cutting through glue 5. Wash the melon, wash it twice, then wash it again 6. Cut along the vertical perimeter 7. Cut a half into good slices 8. Not cutting off the green outside will greatly reduce water loss

I notice from the comments that others eat their watermelon as I do - start at the beginning and cut the whole melon in half. Stop there and get a spoon.

YOU just cut the fruit with a DIRTY knife....you "sharpened" it and didn't even wipe it off, let alone, WASH it! So, metal shavings? OR rind that's been touched during cutting? I'll take the DIRTY rind for 200,please.

You should always wash your knife after sharpening so you don’t ingest the fine particles! Or at least wipe it off!

Plastic to cling over face dow on big plate. Or take the cut pieces place in big bowl cover and keep in fridge. Nothing better than cold watermelon 🍉
I use the Glad Press'N Seal wrap, does wonders for helping store in the fridge if you cut in half like he said

i use a much larger knife..... one without the fine metallic shavings from being sharpened. 😂😂
