      Gotta have fun with it lol. At times rain can be miserable on the bike, but being in the elements (as we're not used to doing these days) can also make you feel alive! Kinda like that about cycling. Forces you to experience it all : )

    • @radbikeadventure
      @radbikeadventure  3 роки тому +1

      We followed mostly the adventure cycling route. It takes you on old coastal highway and some alternate roads but follows the coast pretty closely. Our route is in our description for Komoot and google maps. The hike and bike camps ranged from 7-15 USD per person. Sometimes we had a friendly ranger that lets us camp at a discount together.

    Big tip. Don’t ever ever call California “Cali” only Midwest transplants and Ohio tourist call it Cali. Cali is so so 1980’s tourist slang that local born and raised people hate when you call it Cali. This is coming from a born and raised Californian. Other then that keep up the riding and stop by sunset beach or big basin parks and ride highway 1 next time instead of 101 eeeew.

    • @Primifluous
      @Primifluous 4 роки тому

      Big tip. No one cares. I'm born and raised in California my whole life, and would never say Cali just because it isn't part of my regular vocabulary. Similar to saying *the* 15 instead of I-15 highway...but just keep little opinions like this to yourself. You might make some friends.

    • @radbikeadventure
      @radbikeadventure  4 роки тому

      Primifluous Dying!! 🤣 🤣 I’m born and raised in California and “Cali” has come back in, well kind of. I was doing it more tongue in cheek as a way to make fun of that old skool slang that we now reference in jest. The 80s are back didnt ya hear?! Lol. (Plus California is a long word to fit on a tile haha) Thanks for backing me up. People DO love to share their “I know better” opinions which can at times be helpful and sometimes come off as dopey, he must not have watched all the parts where I mention we are “going home”. Ah well. But just so RViscara knows, you actually HAVE to divert off the 1 and onto the 101 for parts of the route. They mingle and intersect near Santa Barbara. Must be a Northern Californian 😉

    • @Primifluous
      @Primifluous 4 роки тому

      @@radbikeadventure If Rviscara was more than just a *tourist* to your channel, it would've been obvious that you're native Cali'ians ;)
      BTW out of all of the bicycle related stuff I bother my girlfriend about watching, the video of you two testing out your bikes down to San Diego is her favorite by far, she really loved it. She loves camping and likes bikes, but not busy roads, so hopefully some bikepacking may be in our future. Thanks for the vids! Cliche, but they really are an inspiration.

      @@Primifluous lol you seem to think I would want anything to do with someone who calls California cali.... I also suggest you take your own advice and keep your opinion to yourself. I doubt you would say the same too me in person.

      @@radbikeadventure Its not a "I know more then. you" its called being offended by calling it CALI like a immature 14 year old. Its much like the slight comment you are trying to pass off as nice. You know how when you once had that only boyfriend in college that pissed on your backside in the shower and was passing' it off as kinky but some how you knew he did it to degrade you. As for knowing the coastal highway sweetie I am Poly tech grad from the Silicon Valley and was referring to the Northern California coast area you traveled in this video not southern California so please.. By the way your dutch is terrible and its pathetic you can't even learn a few words,. I will just chalk that up as ditz who can't make a effort. Only millionials believe the 80's are back because that is the era of the liberal arts professors at bezerkly.So by all means look like.a idiot and continue to call it cali every one will just laugh at you much like the old boyfriend pissing on your back in the shower.
