- In today's video, I will be showing you how to get Sidequest onto your Quest 3, quest 2 and Quest Pro. This will install Sidequest onto your quest itself and allow you to have access to thousands of new VR apps and games right there on your device. You will not need to plug into the computer again to download any 3rd party app from Sidequest. This will also give you access to hundreds of new Custom Quest Homes that you can install and customize your Quest with! I hope you enjoy the video :D

Super cool stuff, good video. I can't remember Sidequest being fully accessible on the Quest itself. I might install it. Also that customizable moon home is a bit like the original Oculus Rift home where you could add different furniture and unlockables and trophies from your VR games. It was a super cool idea but they took forever to bring multiplayer/social support. I think you were stuck with the same 3 home environments too.

I tried to install it last week, but failed at first hand. But there is a bat file with which you can install it on your headset via the PC and that worked. I did it because I wanted to use the game enhancer, which is a great apk to give a sharper image. Personally I don't care so much for the home environments, as I prefer pass through. Two other enhancements I did to the Quest3 is buying a batterypack that's strong enough to keep the juice coming to the Quest and a pair of lenses.. next will be a headstrap, but haven't decided which one yet....
i just got a quest 3 which is my first stand alone VR, and lots of hours of research i didnt see much more than a "you want sidequest its cool, heres where to find it" but no actual showcase of it.
this pretty much answered all my questions about sidequest except one but im pretty sure its a yes and that is, is there any benefit to running the quest app and also advanced pc app. and im pretty sure some github apps will require sideloading from pc
selling my q2 for da 3.. it’s been a good run but i’m much more excited for the upcoming years with a new headset.

@@IKER1000sYT i actually havent been using it much. But when i do i rly enjoy it. It doesnt hold the charge very well tho so i find that after some time of not playing it's out of battery and i have to remember to charge it prior to wanting to use it

There isn't really a life changing killer app for VR yet. But the games and experiences are super cool, the quest 3 has some great lenses too.
I just watched @OliverEnding 's vid on Echo VR (relay) - did you know it went live? (community supported Echo VR server hosting) - mentioning here because you use Sidequest to load the Q2/Q3 patched version to the headset.

Hello. I am an artist and would like to use Quest 3 with a sample image displayed on the screen but in a transparent manner. Essentially, I'm interested in whether the Quest 3 can be used like the Rokid Air?
Can you do this with the advanced version of sideqeust aswell? Because I'm trying to mod beat saber but according to your tutorial I need advanced version of sidequest.

But if I then uninstall the SideQuest app will I also automatically delete the newly downloaded environmental houses?
Is there a way to erase uninstalled apps icons ? Or at least arrange them to the bottom? It's very annoying seeing apps you don't like, and if you miss click it starts 2 download

I'm fairly sure you can change the filter to "installed" and that should remove all uninstalled apps icons

How do you install an .apk that you've downloaded via the meta browser? Can you get sidequest to do it? If so, how? Because when I click to open the apk from the browser, nothing hapopens.

To be honest, since i have the quest 3,i completely forgot quest had home. Basically i launch in passthrough, launch virtual desktop and selected passthrough on virtual desktop too. What happen is when im on my couch, i just put the headset still seeing my living room, launch Virtual desktop and play 2D games like Shadow of the tomb raider (Which in 3d is just beyond game changing) or fighting game like Naruto storm which my gf likes a lot. And as my living is basically the ultimate gaming room (65" lG G3 oled, dolby atmos sound bar and sub, PS5, Series X and 7700x-4080 gaming pc), will always play here even with pc anyway so being on the couch with my huge screen when she's seeing the same game on the TV and we play together, sometimes switching, is just a new type of experience. I just wish meta add occlusion with the depth sensor because often im so immersed that when i move my hand i see in passthrough, they go behind the screen and i feel disconnected because somehow despite the passthrough quality being not that great, my brain just get tricked because i forget im looking to a video until i think about it or when stuff like that happens

Hey can anybody tell me how to delete apps/games so they don't appear at all?
I don't think you can. People have been asking for this for years. They have recently changed it so that at least the uninstalled apps go to the bottom as mentioned already above.

Just wanted to say. Aparently roblox flags the modrinth apl as hacking/cheating software.
Dont ask how many days of trouble shooting all the diffrent ways roblox can fail befor i discoverd it was modrinth
I returned my Quest 3 yesterday because it didn't have enough accessories that I liked, and it was within the return window. I bought another Quest 2 and a bunch of great accessories to protect it and make it comfortable and last forever, and it was $250 less than my Quest 3 lol
So it’s the same method from 2 years ago, you just needed a new video that barely reaches the 8 minute mark.. gotcha

Don't recommend side quest for anyone over the age of 9. Learn to use 1 or 2 adb commands
