I loved this! I've sung with piano, organ, harpsichord, orchestra, brass band, you name it. What you showed here is the absolute, unquestioned brilliance of an instrumentalist. What I did as a performer had its challenges! What instrumentalists are capable of makes singing look like child's play! No disrespect to other singers! Just WoW! I'm blown away!
Hello, thank you for your videos. I am preparing the Rossini for an audition. The music they have on their site has the 16ths slurred after the f#s and following. Since that is the music they are providing, should I do it slurred?
Great question! I would tongue the 16ths even though it has a slur marking. I think almost all editions are notated this way but you always tongue the notes. I don’t know why this notation hasn’t been updated by now. If you are auditioning for a community orchestra, slurring the notes is probably fine. If you are auditioning for any kind of professional orchestra, regional or full time, you need to tongue the 16ths.

I'm now staying home with the kids and have been practicing like crazy. I'm preparing for my first audition in probably a decade! I never had any formal training on piccolo. We always focused on flute. I also never had a nice piccolo. I just got a Bulgheroni and I'm in love with it! Would you be able to do a video with Firebird Suite, 1919 version?
