I wish these girls would write a book about there lives. Pre-prince up current times. I bet their lives were .. jeez I cant even think of word that begins to describe their lives. They are two of the most breathtaking talented women to bless us with their beauty. You two women have no idea how much you impacted my life. I just turned 51 and as a teenager you became this women compusamong other things for I guess 35 years. I wish I could show what's inside my heart So I could see how much u did for my life and still are Today. Not sure what and where I'd be without your rhythm and beats and lyrics Being the sountdtrack of my love you both. You are part of my eternàl family. I bet this sounded so corny but its what just flew out of me. A huge fan...,Rebecca A.
I was there at this evening, May 9th, 1989, in Baden Baden, Germany. Dancing directly in front of the stage. ;) All in all it was an uninspired concert for a TV recording and lasts only roundabout 60 minutes. One day before Wendy & Lisa gave a great concert in Frankfurt/Main in the Music Hall. A real blast compared to this one. :)
LOVE this posting. Thank you so much for it. I heard some chords from one of my fav Revolution songs, Computer Blue, at the ending of this. Awesome live performance!!
Was Prince really a genius? Wendy and Lisa probably are! How many things did Prince steal from Wendy and Lisa? I quote: ''Wendy and Lisa really seem to have been responsible for a great deal of the cool little touches in Prince's music when they were in the band. He was not the same after they left... it is not that he started to suck when they left, but there were a lot of melodic ideas and things that changed. I believe that they wrote or contributed a TON of things that were never credited to them.''
Love the video of this song but there seems to be something wrong with the guitar chords or the harmony or something in Waterfall..... anyone else hear it? Otherwise love these two fabulous musicians 💜
The audio track is not very good. This almost certainly came from VHS tape before being captured into a computer, so a lot of bass probably got murdered. Wendy Melvoin's also not the strongest live singer. Listening to the performance, I'm tempted to think that she couldn't hear herself very well, which is why her pitch was a bit erratic. Lisa Coleman's a stronger singer.

Not trolling. Just expressing my opinion.
Frankly I find this disappointing. I love Wendy and Lisa and this is one of my favorite all time songs. But this sounds terrible and amateurish.
