Great movie,Yvone DeCarlo as beautiful as ever. I love these old CLEAN westerns and thanks to the internet I watch at least one a night if not 2,im in my 60s and been enjoying these movies since I can remember,I even had a 2 gun holster that I wore when watching them as a kid😂👍👊
@@sniper001353 I'm 67, but I love westerns, action, mystery. Watch old movies TV shows like HIGHWAY PATROL. I like seeing young actors that I know from Clint Eastwood westerns. Lee Van Cleef 👍
A good movie. A classic. If you like movies you probably saw it before somewhere. Still it has qualities that make it watchable from time to time. Thanks to The Sprocket Vault
Read "The Wonderer" to understand the unique back round of Stirling Hayden. Hated acting, loved sailing, WW2 hero, unlucky with women, couldn't act much by his own admission with the cop in The Godfather being his best roll.
Back in the days when we would just live to see a good western where the sherif shots it out after a chase scene and then ends up with the woman 😊 plus never loses his hat. Like is so complicated now, people can’t even enjoy a good simple clean movie.
Interesting to know Sterling Hayden actually hated acting and Hollywood and only wanted to be on his boat; a fascinating individual and a hell of a man.
Then he shouldn't have been an actor. Maybe he just loved money more. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. If you do, you're just arrogant n unappreciative. Not good virtues
@@jeffreyra1350 You call Sterling Hayden arrogant, inappreciative? You suggest he tried to damage his employers? And that he shouldn't have been an actor? In a twist of conduct your statement illuminates at least two of those traits in you and yet this you say without any substantiation or even giving reason to say so! That is slanderous! Perhaps you too will end with a spear through your spine
Robert Wilke. Good actor forever typecast as the villain in many roles. Only saw him once as the good guy. Mind you, he had a face that looked like one of those evil sidewinder types that suited his baddy image👺🤣 Good movie. Thanks for the upload 👍🏻
Loved it, the Ol Western beginning hanging upside down on a horse, I was sorta ready to think, Nuh, but, it was fun, cool and layered. Bloody, not easy.

Obviously that rattlesnake was harmed in the making of this movie. Too bad they didn't cook it up; I hear they taste just like chicken. 😃 And where's all that light coming from inside the Apache tent? Not from that dinky little fire.
Overall: Good movie. As a Native American, I give a huge middle finger to Hollywood for having jews playing Native Americans. Black wigs and brown skin paint looks so stupid. And I really felt bad for that snake. However, it's the first time in a movie I saw someone give water to a horse!
What drives a man to kill for revenge. Failure to cover a friend when he knew in his gut that's what he needed to do? Seeing his friend blown away by a double barrel shotgun? Shotgun for shotgun seems a fair motive to me!!

Perfect movie for Yvonne De Carlo and Sterling Hayden. Great western.
I am reliving the movie thrills of my youth with every western movie I watch.
I am grateful... thank you for sharing.
GOOD MOVIE, LIKE STERLING'S MOVIES, NATURAL ACTOR, THANK YOU.
Ah, just got this on a 6 Westerns multi-pack! Darn Good Westerns vol. 2! Especially good because of the beautiful Yvonne DeCarlo! 👍👍
It is being restored along with 6 other westerns, and will be released on Blu-ray next year.

I can't see Stelling Hayden without thinking of Dr Strangelove. Great actor and by god he lived an incredible life outside of acting.
Sheriff shoots the dead in the river and refills his water bottle from the same river.
Ein Western der Superklasse !!!
Yvonne DeCarlo. A canadian great actress,
Love the location filming. Breathtaking scenery. Enjoyable western! Great cast.
Sedona Arizona.

I agree, Mr. Robert. Hayden's autobiography, "The Wanderer," is well worth reading.
Nobody can make the good western movie like this one present time.
I watch this film 5 times or more, thank you love it
Sterling Hayden, always cool and real western man.
I watch all of Stelling Haydn movies mostly western movies!
Robert J. Wilke was 1 of 3 heavies waiting for the train in HIGH NOON. The other 2 were Sheb Wooley and Lee Van Cleef before his big star roles.
And jack elam the drunk in Cells
To all the Sissys nowadays ! That's what a real man looks like : " Sterling Hayden " !
Loved her with the clark gable in band of angels
Finally, someone waters the horse.
Nine years after this movie was made, Yvonne DeCarlo became Mrs. Lily Munster. 😊😊
always so pretty

Totally agree
Stanley kubrick enticed him out of retirement for Dr strangelove!

It might just have been me, but I am sure I caught a glimpse of Capan Kurk and an alien lizard in the opening of this movie. LOL
Very good movie!!.. thoroughly enjoyed!!.. Long time fan of Yvonne de Carlo!!.. Kevin.. 🙂

AMERICA'S SWEET HEART MARY PICKFORD. ANOTHER GREAT CANADIAN ACTRESS
Very good thanks for the post, these old one are the best,
I've always liked Sterling; it does my heart good to think that he may have stretched Ms. DeCarlo out of shape between shots on this picture.
I doubt the term "white collar job" 7:17 existed back in 1800s, the time period of this film 😂 😂 😂

Filme espetacular, grande Ator..
Most western always have some beautiful endings to them
The Alamo to?
The scenery is the big plus, I ride but on a Harley I ride through some of this territory and love it, and wonder what it be like on a horse
Good Movie ❤❤❤❤
Fight scenes sure have improved since this
Robert wilkie Always good
Robert J. Wilke was always good, but usually as a bad guy.
Wilke challenged James Coburn to a draw to see who was faster, he with a gun n latter with a knife in The Magnificent 7 8:02
Good movie! Thank you!!
Excellent movie. Y.D. sure was a looker.
Especially with her makeup and lipstick unmussed. Glad they at least let her have a smudge on her cheek.
Good old style western.
Good movie

6 ft 5 inches, Sterling Hayden, a tall cool 😎 drink 🍺 of water 💦. 😅😅😅😅🍺🍺💦
E' uno dei migliori western, lo classifico nella mia speciale classifica dei 10 super, poi vedremo in che posizione.
Get a chance see Zachary Scott in Mildred Pierce in 1945

a great classic
So right a great classic
very naiive, yet very pleasant.
thanks for the video.
snake was definitely harmed in the filming of this movie
Haha. That's what I thought. I had a fleeting thought of the bleeding hearts in their moment if anguish.
A fantastic movie ,thanks
No animals were hurt in the making of ....... no wait!
One snake was harmed in the making of this film 🎥 😲
Yes, this vegan says that scene was the real thing and ended the budding acting career of the snake😢 No fue necesario! Pero buena película.
No it was not. It was neutralized.
Great Flick' Yonda 🎉🎉
The Sprocket Vaul, thank for this very interesting movie, I like this.
Good movie, thanks.
I like the subtle humor. They tell him to get water and as the canteen is filling they pull away. Did he turn off the valve? Lol 😂

Red hair lady is highly desirable indeed!
I can't work out wether it's supposed to be day or night at the start of this picture.
I also noted that immediately. Guess production didn't want us to miss any of the stellar action.

We are ???? And what are westerns now ??? Easterns ???

Goed and nice film I do l apreciayed it
Great movie. Never seen DeCarlo so heavy. Still a pretty woman.
She ain t heavy, she s your sister ...
Sterling wore the same shirt thru the whole movie?
I guess an extra shirt wasn't in the budget.
Voted; cracking good film. Pity he shot the rattler at the beginning. Men can be evil, not snakes!
That US Marshall should have had a Winchester
Trite.
Obviously that rattlesnake was harmed in the making of this movie. Too bad they didn't cook it up; I hear they taste just like chicken. 😃 And where's all that light coming from inside the Apache tent? Not from that dinky little fire.
Clay shoots rattler. "That shot will bring in Apaches from all around. Course I coulda just smashed it with a rock."
That snake would have just left, if given the chance.
I hope he gets plague from a flea on a rat, that the snake should have eaten.
They woulda cooked it an ate it too.
@@ronadams681they shoot snakes in multiple westerns all the time calm down lol
