The fact that Wallace broke the World record of not blinking by about one minute and forty one seconds just by hammering a nail into a piece of wood is amazing.
Wait, is the world record really that small? There was a shot in A Matter Of Loaf And Death of Gromit walking up the stairs with a close-up on his foot, and it's stunning to see a whole 25 fingerprints whizz by in a second. It reminds you of the sheer amount of work put into doing this. About as much as Wallace does in this video.
Let's break down why this is such a great video. So first off, the thumbnail. It leaves you questioning, will Wallace be hammering fast, or slow? Will the video start off immediately with him hammering, or will we get a little bit of a set up? All these questions will be answered as soon as you click on the video. The hammering is quick and efficient, and the sound effect is a pleasant tapping instead of something obnoxious or in your face. Nothing extra is added such as explosions as other authors would have done to make the scene more 'funny.' The clip itself plays in both forward and reverse, so you aren't jarred by the sudden clipping if the author were to just restart the clip from the beginning. This is evident due to the fingerprints on Wallace's arm appearing one by one, and disappearing in reverse. Finally, the music. The pleasant, lighthearted tone is perfect for a background loop such as this. It is reminiscent of a looping soundtrack at a theme park while you are walking around between attractions. To me, this represents what is going on inside Wallace's head during his construction project!
Y'ever notice how radically different he looks with his mouth closed as opposed to his OMNIOUSLY GRINNING expression he has throughout the more dialog-y scenes? Also I love how you can see the clay dents pop in and out on his left arm(HIS left).
If all of us had the determination of Wallace, our society wouldn't have nearly as many problems. Wallace is truly an inspiration to us all for working this hard and not giving up.
Never did I think a claymation man slamming a piece of metal onto an unknown surface for an hour straight would motivate me to go work in my own garage.
With the frame buttons (on PCs it's < and >) you can see he hits the nail 5 times per second so in this 3,640 second video he hits the nail about 18,200 times. If he's powerful enough to drive the nail 1 inch every time he hits it (and it's Wallace so obviously he is) then he would drive the nail deeper than the height of the empire state building.

I love how sponsorblock gives you option to "skip to highlight" which is literally just 15-20 minutes into the video
If all of us had the determination of Wallace, our society wouldn't have nearly as many problems. Wallace is truly an inspiration to us all for working this hard and not giving up.
Ok
Preaching to the choir.

This should be in the background of every wood shop to motivate the workers to become more like Wallace
And their catchphrase is "Be Like Wallace!"
That would actually make me work at a wood shop if they played this in the background and their slogans were "Be like Wallace!"

Underrated comment
Did I watch a full hour of Wallace from Wallace and Grommet hammer non stop? Yes
Did I enjoy it? Definitely
Would I do it again? Of course
I didn't know I needed this in my life until now
This will become a go to vibe

Right said, Fred!
The catch is. They do things like hit 1 nail for an hour. They also die within 2 hours if not hydrated with tea properly. Wouldn’t recommend.

Never did I think a claymation man slamming a piece of metal onto an unknown surface for an hour straight would motivate me to go work in my own garage.
Ah, yes. I do enjoy watching Wallace obliterate a nail into non-existence for one hour straight
As do I

Wallace probably built the whole damn space station with that time.

When you see an ant but he's a speedy bugger
With the frame buttons (on PCs it's < and >) you can see he hits the nail 5 times per second so in this 3,640 second video he hits the nail about 18,200 times. If he's powerful enough to drive the nail 1 inch every time he hits it (and it's Wallace so obviously he is) then he would drive the nail deeper than the height of the empire state building.
(it's a really long nail)
I bet he did the math while watching the video like a true chad
Yeah but counting the hitting of anything, the hammering, how many times does he do it?

Wallace after realising somebody who doesn't like cheese
He's taking his time. And that's respectable.
You can give a man a hammer, but you can't determine what he does with it.
Some use it to build a house, others to smash skulls.
Wallace.... Wallace makes sure he has time for both.
Did you get that from castlevania
The second one (Smashing the skulls with a hammer) is what happens when you steal Wallace's Cheese and Crackers
he also makes sure he has time for cheese in-between
